A strange book, read a lot of unexpected feelings

"Building the French Style" is an official book on civil construction engineering published during the Northern Song Dynasty, and the presiding author is Li Jie.

Li Jie's life coincided almost completely with Su Shi's life, and he died later than Su Shi. According to historical records, Li Jie also had literary style, and was both calligraphy and painting, and quite a musical talent. However, when reading the Complete Works of Su Shi, it is not mentioned in the text, and I do not know whether they have intersected at that time.

The "Construction of the French Style" edited by Li Jie is a real "divine work" level in the industry.

Many years ago, I had a cursory reading of this book. At the beginning of the year, it was recommended that the Huizhou brothers read it freely, and according to him, it was read with relish. Recently, I went to several nearby temples and saw these antique buildings, and I couldn't help but find this book again and re-read it.

Title: Annotations and Interpretations of "Constructing the French Style"

Author: (Song) By Li Jie; Wu Jiming Translation

Publisher: Chemical Industry Press

P s: The following dark green font is the original text, and the reading feeling is displayed in a normal font.

The wall of women, said to be humble, is inferior to the city, if the woman is to the husband also.

In the genes of Chinese culture, there has always been a continuation of the inferiority of men and women. When this gene is completely mutated and eliminated, can equality between men and women be truly realized.

Think about it, the reason why scumbags are endless, is related to this inferior and stubborn gene?

The builder of the building first chooses the craftsman and then the simple material.

Concise. This is true of architecture, so is education, and so is the rule of the family.

"Easy": "Heavy door strikes to treat thugs."

One of the advantages of habitual reading is that when you encounter a Chinese character that is familiar but cannot be named, you go to the memory bank to search for this familiar Chinese character.

For example, the Chinese character "柝" looks very familiar, but at once dare not determine the pronunciation, search for memory, and think of the sentence in the "Mulan Poem":

Wanli went to the plane, and Guan Shandu flew.

Shuo Qi spread the golden garnet, and the cold light shone on the iron coat.

The general died in a hundred battles, and the hero returned in ten years.

This is one of the poems that have been memorized well, so I immediately got it right, and naturally understood the meaning and pronunciation of this Chinese character.

The cardinal is the rafter.

In the memory, I searched for "flowing water does not corrupt the household and the hub is not a beetle", which understands this sentence and accurately pronounces the pronunciation of "hub".

Pingdi is the current ceiling, in ancient times also called flat machine, flat maple, flat up, dust, the Qing Dynasty began to be called "ceiling", and has been used to this day.

Smallpox, as a virus, was once synonymous with death.

The ceiling, in addition to the original meaning of the real thing, now has a symbolic meaning, similar to the "bottleneck", which means that a person can no longer break through his height, this height is like the "ceiling" in reality.

"Poetry": "Naisheng Woman, the Tile of the Bearer."

Literally, in ancient times, having a daughter was called the Joy of Nongwa. In fact, the meaning of favoring sons over women is not obvious, and the "tile making" ceremony is more similar to the "catching the week" ritual that has always existed in reality, which is nothing more than hoping that the child will grow up to be able to be a female worker that a woman should be engaged in, what spinning and weaving is the kind of husband and son.

A "tile" word, in addition to reminding us of "Qin brick Hanwa", is more likely to make us think of "earth collapse" - the tile from the earth, the earth collapse naturally disintegrates.

Of course, in this habit of reporting good news and not worrying about the habit of whitewashing Taiping with positive energy, we will occasionally use "brick by brick as hard-won" to teach children, or to teach those who are generous and do not know how to be diligent and thrifty.

Interestingly, in reality, there is also a kind of person who encounters a small setback and "breaks the jar", and thinks that this "jar" is most likely a "crock pot", and can't help but fall, and the end is naturally getting worse and worse.

I am afraid that the reason for this is that the prodigal son looks precious, right?

"Interpretation": "Rank, Majesty." "Majesty, humbleness, and high humility." The Temple of the Son of Heaven is called The Majesty of the Lord, and the words of the People of The Son of Heaven are also said." "Steps, ladders, such as ladders have equal differences."

Classes, formed in ancient times, are unbreakable.

Whether in its original intent or by extension, class has always been like a ladder, with strict and obvious hierarchies.

Temple steps: applied to the temple steps, to the pillars; and the four corners, with the steps obliquely out.

Finally, I understood that the stone carving component that I saw around the steps of many temples was originally the head of the mantis. I wonder if this component is still a drainage port for draining water from the temple steps to all sides?

Ant: A hornless dragon in ancient Han mythology and legend. Its shape is often used for decoration in ancient buildings or utensils and handicrafts, and it is mostly used for the decoration of drainage in buildings, which is called mantis head scattering water.

The last question that came with the feeling was found in this passage.

Testimonials:

The reason why I read it again is because I want to have a detailed understanding and understanding of those ancient buildings when I walk through the ancient buildings. At the very least, get an overview of every detail of every part of the building.

In fact, this is also a reading process. Every component of an ancient building is like a Chinese character, and only by knowing these Chinese characters can it be possible to read an ancient book.
