Due to the publicity of court documents, Epic's lawsuit with Apple has exposed many of the company's undeclared plans. Recently, another document found on The Verge indicates that Sony had planned to introduce its PlayStation Now cloud gaming service to mobile devices.

According to the filing, Apple insiders learned that "(yet yet announced) a mobile extension of an existing cloud service aimed at PlayStation users, starting with access to more than 450 PS3 games, followed by PS4 games." ”

The document, titled "Highly Confidential – Lawyers Only," shows that PlayStation Now has been listed as a "mobile" subscription. Apple raised the issue because the company was working on launching its own game subscription service, Apple Arcade, the report said.

While these plans reportedly began to be implemented at some point in time, Sony apparently changed its mind. Maybe it doesn't want to get involved in a battle with Apple for the right to use, or turn its attention entirely to the console. Regardless of the situation at the time, Sony has now changed its subscription plans in an attempt to compete with Microsoft's XGP product. According to internal documents from PS4 and PS5, a subscription service based on PLayStation is currently under development, code-named "Spartacus". Similar to XGP, the service will allow users to access a range of older and newer games.
