The Apple file hinted that Sony was considering bringing the PS Now gaming service to mobile devices

Webmaster's House (ChinaZ.com) December 13 News: Documents from the Epic and Apple lawsuits unearthed by foreign media The Verge show that as early as 2017, Sony planned to launch the PlayStation Now cloud gaming service on mobile phones.

An Apple filing mentions an undisclosed "mobile extension of an existing streaming service that provides PlayStation users with streaming access to more than 450 PS3 games, followed by PS4 games." ”

PS Now currently offers services, including PS4, PS3, and PS2 games that can be played on PS5, PS4, or Windows PCs, but has never worked with iOS or Android, and PlayStation doesn't offer a version for Mac.

Apple may have been talking about PS Now, as it had already started developing the Apple Arcade game service, which would eventually launch in 2019.

Sony started using PS Now for cloud gaming early on. It launched in 2014, a few years before its competitors developed cloud gaming products. GeForce NOW was released as a beta in 2015, but Google Stadia didn't launch until 2019 and Xbox Cloud Gaming didn't launch until 2020.

It's unclear why Sony never launched a mobile version of PS Now. The Verge speculated that at the time Sony didn't think it was worth competing with Apple, or that Sony might have decided to focus on console sales.
