On April 8, 2006, the Xinhua Daily Telegraph published a memoir in its entirety, in which the author identified himself as Du Jitang, a former Kuomintang military commander. Du said in the article that the famous "April 8 Air Disaster" in the history of the CPC was actually a conspiracy, and the killing of Ye Ting, Bogu, and others was originally the established plan of the Kuomintang military command.
As soon as the article was published, it triggered a strong social repercussion, and a group of red second-generation people came to the newspaper to ask for the authenticity of the content of the article. People are talking about it, and the past that has been sealed for many years has once again appeared in front of the public.
On the afternoon of April 8, 1946, at Yan'an Airport on the north bank of the Yanhe River, the sky was foggy and the sky was overcast, and Chairman Mao, Commander-in-Chief Zhu De, and other CPC leaders, as well as people from all walks of life in Yan'an, were waiting in front of the tarmac of the airport.
A few hours ago, according to news from the airport tower, The US-made C-47 transport plane on which Ye Ting and his party were boarded flew through the Ganquan area of Shaanxi Province and was expected to land at Yan'an Airport in the afternoon. In addition to Ye Ting's family of four, the crew also included Wang Ruofei, Bogu (Qin Bangxian), Deng Fa, and other senior CPC officials and patriots.
Unfortunately, the plane did not land safely in Yan'an. Two days later, people found the wreckage of the plane in Heichashan, Shanxi, and all the people on board were killed.

Ye Ting was a former senior Kuomintang officer who grew up during the Northern Expedition and an alumnus of Chiang Kai-shek and Chen Cheng's Baoding Military Academy. Ye Ting's independent regiment of the same name once marched south to the north, which shocked the whole country and made outstanding achievements for the Fourth Army to win the title of "Iron Army".
During his stay in the Soviet Union in 1924, Ye Ting joined the Communist Party of China, and Zhou Enlai was one of his introducers to the party. This is a professional soldier who grew up in old China, a hero in the chaotic world, and because of his outstanding military genius, he became the common goal of the talent competition between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party.
In March 1946, Ye Ting was placed under house arrest by the Kuomintang for 62 months for the "Anhui Incident". With the continuous efforts of the CCP and people from all walks of life, the CCP exchanged Ma Fawu, the captured deputy commander of the Kuomintang 11th Theater, for Ye Ting's freedom.
A month later, Cpc peace negotiators Wang Ruofei, Qin Bangxian, Deng Fa, and others prepared to return to Yan'an from Chongqing on a US military plane, and Ye Ting and his family boarded the plane with them. Unexpectedly, a "hostage exchange" that was originally a great joy would become a unilateral disaster for the CPC, and the important leaders of the CPC's military and political fields, Bogu, Deng Fa, Ye Ting, Wang Ruofei, and others, would be gone forever.
This period of history, the age is long, the situation is complicated, coupled with many factors of a specific era, has always been hidden in the fog.

Ye Zhengda was extremely shocked.
He studied aircraft design and, professionally, thought the crash was just an accident in complex climatic conditions. But since Premier Zhou is so sure that there is a conspiracy, it shows that he firmly believes in this, but there is no evidence.
After that, Ye Zhengda began to investigate the truth of the incident for many years.

He believes that in China in 1946, there were frequent flight accidents. In addition to the April 8 air disaster, there was also the Dai Kasa air disaster and the Christmas air crash of three civil aviation passenger planes in Shanghai. At that time, China's air transport operations mainly relied on American aircraft and technology. General Chennault, then commander of the U.S. Air Force, also publicly stated:
The reasons for the recent Crash of the Chinese plane are, first, due to bad weather, second, the radio communication between the pilots on the plane and the ground is not close, and third, the pilots lack sufficient training, and it is difficult to respond accurately to problems.
On April 8, there was heavy fog and rain in both Chongqing and Yan'an, and the cloud layer was unpredictable and unsustainable, which was not suitable for take-off. However, fearing that the Kuomintang would repeat itself and expose the Kuomintang-Republican peace talks to an irreversible crisis, as soon as the negotiations were over, the Chinese representatives decided to immediately venture back to Yan'an.
Such civil aviation flights have already committed a big taboo in the sky and time.
The original route of the plane was: from Chongqing to Xi'an Airport for rest and refueling, and then fly directly to Yan'an Airport.
Although the American pilots flying are skilled, they inevitably have a strange environment, and in bad weather conditions, there may be errors in judgment, which eventually leads to collision accidents.

Based on the above reasons, General Ye Zheng combined his own professional knowledge and believed that although the plane crash was suspicious, it was still an accidental air crash.
At this point, the conclusion could have been made. However, less than a year later, the memoirs of Taiwanese veteran Du Jitang once again broke the calm (mentioned at the beginning of the article), and the truth seemed to be about to be revealed.
According to the contents of the memoirs, Du Jitang arranged for the agent Yang Yaowu to secretly place a powerful magnet on the back of the altimeter and compass while the plane was stopping in Xi'an. The aircraft instruments that were disturbed by strong magnetic interference provided the pilot with the wrong information, and after encountering complex weather, they mistakenly flew from Yan'an to the Black Tea Mountain in northwest jin, and unfortunately hit a boulder on the side of the mountain, causing an air disaster.
After this memory came out, it aroused the attention of all walks of life, and the descendants of the victims, led by Qin Tie, the son of Qin Bangxian, personally visited the door, hoping that the newspaper could provide more information.
"Xinhua Daily Telegraph" said that on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the death of General Ye Ting, this article was specially forwarded, and the source was not available. Qin Tie and others were not dead-hearted, and they also asked people to search for relevant historical records in Taiwan, and none of them found Du Jitang or his people.

So, is the "April 8 Air Disaster" space a conspiracy of the Kuomintang? There now appears to be no evidence other than the so-called memoirs of Dujitang. However, in his memoirs, Du Jitang revealed in detail the reasons why the military command attacked Ye Ting's plane.
On the one hand, Ye Tingyuan was a famous general in the Nationalist Army and had close contacts with Chiang Kai-shek, Chen Cheng, and many other Kuomintang elders. After the Anhui Incident, Chiang Kai-shek even personally persuaded him to surrender, hoping to lure him back with the high-ranking official Houlu. Imprisoned Ye Ting not only composed the famous "Prisoner Song" Ming Xinzhi, but also wrote to Chairman Mao and the Party Central Committee in Yan'an the day after his release:
"I was released from prison last night, and I am determined to carry out my long-held wish to join the great Communist Party of China and, under your leadership, to contribute everything to the liberation of the Chinese people. I ask the Central Committee to examine whether my history is qualified and ask for a reply" (After the failure of the Guangzhou Uprising in 1927, Ye Ting was exiled to Germany for ten years, during which he was forced to break off contact with the party organization).
In other words, Ye Ting, who had broken free of the cage, couldn't wait to throw himself into our camp.
Chiang Kai-shek has always been fierce with dissidents

On the other hand, Deng Fa, secretary of the Workers' Movement Committee on the plane, had been engaged in security work for many years and was regarded as a fierce enemy by the military commander Dai Kasa during his lifetime. Less than a month before the "April 8th" air disaster, Dai Kasa was killed by hitting a mountain in Nanjing, and the military command was in chaos, and countless secret agents regarded Deng Fa as the culprit and desperately wanted to get rid of him quickly. To this end, they took aim at the American C-47 transport aircraft that jointly took Ye Ting and Deng Fa.
What can be used as circumstantial evidence is that Tan Zhengwen, director of the Security Department of the Jinsui Branch Bureau of Shanxi Province, who was responsible for surveying the scene and investigating the situation after the air crash, and Gu Yizhidu, confidential secretary, once said that among the remains of the aircraft, a draft telegram was included, which stated that the aircraft lost course during the flight, and the specific reasons are unknown, which can be explained as the interference of a powerful magnet installed by special agent Yang Yaowu. Under the technical conditions at the time, this was indeed fatal.
Of course, many people think that the conspiracy is not credible, for two reasons:
First of all, at the time of the air crash, senior leaders of the CPC had frequently flown between Chongqing and Yan'an, and apart from the "April 8 air disaster," there were no other flight accidents. This has to be doubtful.
Second, the crew members on the flight were four Americans, and the Chiang kai-shek government may not have the guts to pay for the lives of four American soldiers in order to murder Ye Ting or Deng Fa.
More importantly, who is Dujitang? Why have there been no traces of this person after many investigations? Did he use a pseudonym? Or is it who is deliberately stirring up relations between the KmT and the Communists and taking advantage of the opportunity to obstruct the process of peaceful reunification of the two sides of the strait?
Of course, the CCP has not been suspicious of this air crash, and the prime minister's statement that someone was using a mobile phone on the plane should not be the only one who thinks so. Because after the "April 8 air disaster," the Chinese communists explicitly proposed to the Kuomintang government that in the future, if there are high-ranking communist officials, they must be personally accompanied by personnel of the Kuomintang major general or above.
As for the fact that Chairman Mao, Premier Zhou, and other central leaders did not further investigate the cause of the accident, the reason is simple: whether or not someone deliberately did it, the results of the investigation will have an adverse impact on the peace talks between the two parties, and for deeper considerations, the CCP can only give up on this.
History has become history, but the truth will not be hidden forever. Whether it is accidental or artificial, we may as well wait and see, waiting for the time of decryption.
