Premier Zhou and Sister Deng met in 1919. After three years, the two decided on a loving relationship. After another three years of testing, on August 8, 1925, the 27-year-old Zhou Shouchang and the 21-year-old Sister Deng were married in Guangzhou.
When the two were married, there was no grand ceremony, but there were still many friends attending their wedding feast. In this regard, Zhang Zhizhong later recalled: "Although Zhou and Deng did not have a grand wedding ceremony, they did hold celebrations, and I participated. The location is a small Western restaurant on Old Hanmin Road in Guangzhou. At that time, Deng Yanda, Yun Daiying, Chen Yannian, Deng Zhongxia, Xiong Xiong, Gao Yuhan, Lu Yi and so on were present. A few months after the marriage, Sister Deng became pregnant. She was He Xiangning's secretary at the time, bent on doing a good job, so she ran to the street to buy some proprietary Chinese medicine and secretly beat the child. In this regard, Zhao Wei, the secretary of Sister Deng, wrote in his memoirs "The Years of the West Flower Hall": "Zhou Chieftain was on the Eastern Crusade at that time, not in Guangdong. Later, Sister Deng became pregnant with her second child, and the due date was in April 1927.
In order to protect the child well, she paid special attention to eating and gave the child good nutrition.
On April 12, 1927, Chiang Kai-shek launched a counter-revolutionary coup d'état and offered a reward of 200,000 silver dollars for the arrest of Zhou Shou, who was working in Shanghai.
At this time, Sister Deng, who was pregnant with Liujia, accompanied by her mother Yang Zhende, was admitted to an obstetrics and gynecology hospital run by the German church on Changshou West Road in Xiguan, Guangzhou, waiting for delivery. After examination, the doctor told her: "The fetus is developing normally, but the weight (body size) of the fetus seems to exceed the standard of a normal baby." ”
When Sister Deng gave birth, something unfortunate happened.

The child was finally born, a boy, weighing about nine pounds.
