Built around 1727, the Karl Marx House is an 18th-century Baroque residential building where Marx was born on May 5, 1818. After the Marx family moved away, the successive owners of the former residence maintained the renovation of the house and carried out partial expansion and renovation. Today, it serves as a museum that offers a global perspective on the impact of Marx and his ideas on the world from the 19th century to the present.
