Recently, General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered an important speech at the opening ceremony of the seminar on the study and implementation of the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China by major leading cadres at the provincial and ministerial levels, pointing out that it is better to unify the adherence to Marxism and the development of Marxism, and to persist in using the "arrow" of Marxism to shoot the "arrow" of China in the new era. Looking back at the history of the party over the past century, the Communist Party of China has promoted the sinicization of Marxism and used it to guide practice, overcoming countless risks and challenges on the way forward and winning one victory after another. The victorious strength of understanding the "arrow" of Marxism lies in the ideological greatness of keeping right and taking into account innovation. The history of the Party is a history of constantly promoting the sinification of Marxism, as well as a history of constantly promoting theoretical innovation and theoretical creation. During the period of the new-democratic revolution, the party devoted itself to the proposition of sinification of Marxism, and opened up a revolutionary road of encircling the cities with the countryside and finally winning victory in the whole country; in the period of reform and opening up, the party successfully pioneered socialism with Chinese characteristics; since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Party, it has continuously promoted theoretical renewal around the major topic of what kind of socialism with Chinese characteristics to uphold and develop in the new era and how to uphold and develop socialism with Chinese characteristics. If a nation wants to walk in the forefront of the times, it cannot for a moment be without theoretical thinking and for a moment without correct ideological guidance. The sound of a gunshot from the October Revolution brought Marxism to China and also opened the magnificent century-long journey of the Communist Party of China. From the "Theory of Contradictions" and "Theory of Practice" to the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, generation after generation of Chinese Communists have based themselves on China's reality and applied the basic principles of Marxism to guide the Chinese revolution, China's construction, and China's development, and have achieved fruitful results that have attracted worldwide attention. Under the current standards, 770 million rural poor people have been lifted out of poverty, the gross domestic product has exceeded the 100 billion mark, ranking the second largest economy in the world, the highway is networked, the high-speed rail is speeding, the natural graben is changing paths, the "heavenly palace" is in the sky, the "dragon" is in the sea, and the millennium dream is fulfilled. It is precisely because of the choice of the correct path of Marxism that the Chinese nation has ushered in a great leap from standing up and getting rich to becoming strong, and has ushered in a bright prospect for realizing great rejuvenation.
