The fundamental reason why the party has been able to lead the people in accomplishing the arduous tasks that cannot be accomplished by various other political forces in China in the course of seeking questions again and again, setback after setback, and pioneering again and again is that it persists in emancipating the mind, seeking truth from facts, advancing with the times, seeking truth and being pragmatic, persisting in integrating the basic tenets of Marxism with China's specific reality and with China's outstanding traditional culture, persisting in practice as the only criterion for testing truth, persisting in proceeding from reality in everything, and promptly answering the questions of the times and the people. The October Revolution brought Marxism-Leninism to China with the sound of a cannon, and since then Chinese people have found the correct theory that can achieve national independence and national liberation.
