After reading the biography of Mao Zedong ("Beauty" Ross Trier).

author:Cold Pond uncle

Maybe I read Ross Trier's Biography of Mao Zedong, mainly because of the "sense of distance".

Ross Trier, who inherited Kissinger and Fairbank, was committed to studying the stability and harmony of the relationship between the East and the West, and was an American who had studied China all his life; I think reading the biography of Mao Zedong written by this old gentleman should give me a fresh feeling for the great man who will always be in my mind.

I grew up knowing Chairman Mao through school textbooks or film and television works, and their authors were almost all native Chinese mainland people, and limited to the relationship between their horizons, it was naturally impossible for his works to fully and truly reflect a living great man. Then the political and life course of a great man, especially an American, told by a foreigner, especially an American, and of major historical events that could not be separated from him, must have an incomparably great attraction to me.

In the last century, China was in a period of darkness and hardship, and countless people of insight intended to turn the tide and save the Chinese nation from precarious danger. Chairman Mao is one of these people of insight! But the "Biography of Mao Zedong" tells me that Chairman Mao is not a god, he did not know from the beginning that communism can save China, and he was also gradually and gradually finding the right path suitable for China in the process of exploration!

Chairman Mao also organized trade unions at the beginning and launched more than a dozen important strikes; of course, in the end, they were all suppressed by the warlords without surprise. At that time, Chairman Mao also had doubts: Were the urban workers at the forefront of the revolution? If not, isn't the CCP less than absolutely wise? At the same time, he also began to realize that the warlords had guns in their hands, and disobeying them seemed to be seeking their own death, and it seemed very sad to reason with them.

Even the "Autumn Harvest Uprising" later presided over by Chairman Mao himself initially made the focus of the attack on the city of Changsha. Unfortunately, defeat was inevitable, and the insurrectionary forces also fought infighting and the mass base shrank. Fortunately, Chairman Mao had a strong revolutionary will that was different from ordinary people, and he was even more determined to "struggle with heaven, and the joy is endless!" Struggle with the ground, the fun is endless! In the danger of life and death, he used the barrel of a gun in his own way to enter the countryside, and since then China's road to salvation has slowly entered the normal orbit!

Looking at the foreigners' appraisal of Chairman Mao, the main thing is to understand that our present new China was not easy to come by, and it is not that any immortal pointed out that you China can gain independence and liberation by following this road; but that it was obtained by relying on tens of thousands of revolutionary volunteers who did not hesitate to use their lives in the dark! Today, what we have to do is to cherish and be grateful, and at the same time contribute our strength to the prosperity and strength of our motherland!
