On April 27, a seminar on Hu Yu's essay collection "Huangtang Bay" sponsored by the Changsha Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature, Mao Zedong Literature Institute and the Propaganda Department of The Ningxiang Municipal Party Committee was held at Mao Zedong Literature Institute.
Hu Yu, currently vice chairman of the Ningxiang Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, chairman of the Ningxiang Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature, and a member of the Hunan Provincial Writers Association, has previously published the essay collection "Brewing Snow Boiled Wine" and the note-taking parent-child book "Being a Mother is an Artistic Life". The collection of essays "Huangtang Bay" was published by Hunan Normal University Publishing House in December 2021, with a total of 200,000 words, divided into three series: "Wind Objects", "Old Things" and "Old People". The book is mainly written in the 1980s and 1990s in the rural areas of Hunan, presenting a distant and clear homeland.
Huangtang Bay is located in Alloy Village, Hengshi Town, Ningxiang City, and is an ordinary housing estate with only 30 or 40 residents. The author Hu Yu was born and raised here, and the time she spent here and the love she invested in made this ordinary house unique.
With delicate thoughts, clear writing, abundant feelings, and scalpel-like precision, the author profoundly dissected huangtang bay, an ordinary house in xiangzhong, and the customs, human feelings, folk customs, palms, and even grass and trees are vividly emerging in the pen, which can be called an encyclopedia of the xiangzhong countryside.
Tang Sulan, vice chairman of the Hunan Provincial Federation of Literature and Literature and chairman of the Changsha Municipal Federation of Literature, commented: "The feeling of delicate family affection, the idyllic nostalgia, and the sadness of the passage of time have built a transcendent soul habitat. Liu Kebang, honorary president of the Hunan Prose Literature Association, said that "Huangtang Bay" is a good prose text for the author to start the remembrance of human nature, trace the origin of the homeland, and get close to the rural landscape, folklore and humanities. Tang Ying, vice chairman of the Changsha Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature and chairman of the Changsha Writers Association, believes that Hu Yu's article makes people feel very warm and moving, the piles are ordinary and small things, full of happiness, and it is very easy to read, her article is like a guide through time and space, leading everyone to jump on the ridges and hills of Huangtang Bay.
The textual style of "Huangtang Bay" also became the focus of discussion at the meeting, and became an exploration of the literary language in the era of light reading. Xie Zongyu, director of the management office of mao zedong's institute of letters and vice chairman of the Hunan Provincial Writers Association, commented that Hu Yu gave full play to the characteristics of prose that is "scattered but not scattered", and there is a pungent energy in the text, lyrical narrative theory, all concise and powerful, logical and clear. Gong Xudong, vice chairman of the Hunan Provincial Writers Association, believes that Hu Yu's prose is temperamental, and from the perspective of narrative, some places, twists and turns, some places, words and that, narratives go around, very flavorful, this way of narrative, showing a high literary talent.

Wang Shuhai, director of the Literary and Art Creation and Research Center of the Hunan Provincial Federation of Literature and Art, believes that the author reproduces the folk customs and worldly life of Huangtang Bay with affectionate brushstrokes, highlights the pursuit of truth, goodness and beauty, reflects the changes and development of the society of the times and the hard-won happiness of today,the writing is smooth and free, the works are full of warmth and poetry, like a clear spring slowly flowing through the depths of the soul.
"Huangtang Bay" also conveys reflections on the future of rural development. Ecological literature writer Xiao Huiyue said that in today's increasingly modern and urbanized world, where will the "rural future" go? How to balance economic development with the future of the village? This is a thinking question left for Huangtang Bay, and it is also a thinking question for thousands of villages. Tan Xiaoping, a first-level inspector of the Changsha Municipal CPC Committee, said that the book is small and big, strange in peace, and beautiful in ugliness, which is not only the epitome of the Countryside of Ningxiang, but also the epitome of the Countryside of Hunan, and even more the epitome of the Chinese Countryside, and the text contains dialectics that are worth chewing repeatedly.
