Recently, according to the official website of Hunan Yiyang Kangya Hospital, as a large tertiary comprehensive private hospital, Kangya Hospital has been recently restructured into a state-owned hospital.

Enterprise investigation information shows that Hunan Kangya Hospital Co., Ltd. was established in December 2015, at the end of January this year, Kangya Hospital has completed the shareholder change, after the change, by Yiyang High-tech Zone State-owned Capital Investment and Operation Co., Ltd. held 90% of the shares, the original shareholder Hunan Yikangda Medical Investment Co., Ltd. held 10%.

According to public information, Kangya Hospital opened in June 2016 as a large tertiary general hospital integrating medical treatment, prevention, rehabilitation, pension, scientific research and teaching, the hospital has 1,000 beds, a construction area of 160,000 square meters, and a total investment of 1.6 billion yuan.

At the opening ceremony of that year, Mo Yimin, chairman of Kangya Hospital, pointed out that the official opening of Kangya Hospital indicates that Kangya's "big health industry" has just started, and will actively respond to the "Healthy China" strategy, actively explore and practice the "combination of medical and nursing care" model, create a "medical-rehabilitation-pension-leisure" health industry complex, and strive to build Kangya Hospital into a regional medical center with patient satisfaction, government reassurance and social recognition.

Subsequently, the Kangya Health Industrial Park, which relies on Kangya Hospital, has gradually entered the public vision. It is reported that Kangya Health Industrial Park covers a total area of 273.46 acres, with a total construction area of 360,000 square meters and a total investment of more than 3 billion yuan. The project is based on the "combination of medical and nursing care" model, and is built in two phases: the first phase is Kangya Hospital, and the second phase is Kangya Health Park. After the opening of Kangya Hospital, Kangya Health Park began construction in October 2016, with a total construction area of 100,000 square meters, with pension apartments, "Kangya Home" elderly activity center and VIP nursing building, etc., with a total of 1,000 beds for pension, rehabilitation and nursing.

In September 2017, Kangya Health Park and Xinya Nursing Home began trial operation. It is reported that this project was included in the key construction projects of Hunan in 2017 at the end of 2016 and reported to be included in the province's medical and nursing demonstration park, which has received the attention of many official agencies and leaders.

In the exploration of health care, Kangya Hospital and Health Park have achieved a series of officially recognized achievements: in March 2021, the Office of the Healthy China Action Promotion Committee announced the typical experience cases of healthy China action promotion, and the smart medical pension Yiyang model of Hunan Yiyang has become one of the 18 typical experience cases of healthy China action promotion promoted to the whole country. According to the disclosure of New Hunan, in the "Yiyang City Regional Health Plan (2016-2020)" issued by Yiyang City, it is clear that Yiyang Kangya Hospital will be the leader, and a municipal medical and pension center will be established, and through the leading demonstration, the development of a healthy pension industry will be driven around the city's general hospitals.

In February 2022, the Hunan Provincial Health Commission announced the list of 2021 provincial hospice standard wards, and the palliative care ward of the Department of Geriatric Medicine of Hunan Yiyang Kangya Hospital became one of the 16 selected hospitals.

It can be said that in terms of hospital scale, Kangya Hospital must not belong to the "small" type in the field of private medical treatment. Perhaps this consideration, in October 2019, the 2019 Hunan Private Hospital Development Annual Conference and the Inaugural Meeting of the Yiyang Private Hospital Association were held in Hunan Yiyang Kangya Hospital, in which Kangya Hospital was elected as the president of the association.

With the transformation of Kangya Hospital into a state-owned hospital, in a talent recruitment information on the official website, the expression about the hospital has been adjusted to "Hunan Yiyang Kangya Hospital is a tertiary comprehensive state-owned hospital approved by the Hunan Provincial Health Commission".

Kangya Hospital is not the first large private hospital to be transformed into a state-owned hospital.

In April 2021, Xinyang City held a press conference to inform the State-owned enterprise CEFC Investment Group of Xinyang City to acquire 60% of the equity of Shengde International Hospital Group, restructure Shengde International Hospital Group into a state-owned holding enterprise, and integrate its Henan Shengde Hospital into a new public comprehensive hospital under the trusteeship of the government, and prepare for the construction of Xinyang People's Hospital, plus the brand of Xinyang Maternal and Child Health Hospital. This also means that Henan Shengde International Hospital, a large private hospital in Henan, has officially changed from private to public.

It is understood that Henan Shengde Hospital opened at the end of December 2017, the hospital covers an area of 340 acres, with a total construction area of 420,000 square meters, a total investment of 2 billion yuan, 1,800 medical beds, 500 rehabilitation beds for the elderly, the official website has introduced that it is the largest social hospital in Henan Province, since the opening of the hospital, a total of more than 700,000 outpatient emergency patients have been received, and more than 60,000 inpatients have been treated.

In March 2021, the relevant bidding announcement showed that Guang'an Huataikuige Hospital, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan, is planned to be acquired by The West China Guang'an Hospital of Sichuan University (Guang'an People's Hospital), and the project information shows that the Guang'an People's Hospital needs to expand its medical service capacity based on the bottleneck of hospital development, so it intends to acquire HuakuiGetai Hospital.

According to public information, Guang'an HuataiKuige Hospital, which is wholly owned by Huatai Group Company, is a large-scale comprehensive regional center tertiary hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care and rehabilitation, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan, covering an area of 270 acres, a construction area of 340,000 square meters, a business space of 220,000 square meters, 6 major diagnosis and treatment centers, 28 clinical departments, 10 auxiliary diagnosis and treatment departments, and 1,800 beds. The hospital opened in June 2019.

In the same month, the medical institution practice license of the 300-bed private Liaocheng Guangming Hospital in Shandong was also cancelled, and the whole system was merged into the public Liaocheng Guangming Eye Hospital. On April 15, 2021, Liaocheng Guangming Eye Hospital was renamed Liaocheng Eye Hospital and hung the brand of Liaocheng Fifth People's Hospital.
