On March 9, according to media reports, the construction project of Xinhuainan Chaoyang Hospital (hereinafter referred to as "New Chaoyang Hospital") undertaken by China Railway Fourth Bureau Construction Company officially held a signing ceremony in Huainan City, Anhui Province.

According to public information, as the second phase of Huainan Chaoyang Hospital, the department in accordance with the construction of the third-class hospital, with a total investment of about 710 million yuan, planned beds of 1200 beds, the total construction area of the project of about 145,000 square meters, after the completion of the hospital, the total number of beds in Chaoyang Hospital will exceed 2,000, and the business covers 31 clinical disciplines such as cardiac (external) department, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and five senses.

It is worth mentioning that in September 2017, the hospital was officially put into use in the modern hospital Building 3, which was transformed from the adjacent "Gemdale Hotel", with 277 open beds, including 49 hemodialysis treatment beds.

The hospital said that with the increasing number of outpatients and inpatients, the contradiction of bed shortage has gradually emerged, in order to alleviate the contradiction between supply and demand, the hospital has decided to build a new Chaoyang Hospital, and according to the construction of the top three general hospitals.

It is understood that in August 2019, the new Chaoyang Hospital project passed the record, and the groundbreaking ceremony was held in September of the following year. In the "2021 China Social Medical Bed Scale 100 List (Single)" released by "Medical Circles", from the perspective of beds, China's social medical services have shown a large-scale trend, and the phenomenon of large comprehensive and strong specialties is prominent. In terms of the number of hospital beds in the top 100, no hospital has less than 1,000 beds.

According to the "Medical Community", taking the A-share listed institution International Medicine as an example, its hospitals have been selected as the top 100 bed sizes, and the medical city in Xi'an is still investing heavily in construction, and the future bed scale will usher in further expansion.

Similarly, as a rookie in social medical services, BOE, a global innovative Internet of Things enterprise that is also a listed company, currently operates a number of hospitals, of which Hefei BOE Hospital, Chengdu BOE Hospital and Suzhou BOE Hospital have been opened one after another, and Beijing BOE Hospital is in preparation.

Among them, Hefei BOE Hospital, which was built by BOE at a cost of 3.2 billion yuan, opened in March 2019 and opened 1,000 beds. In 2021, BOE hospitals in Chengdu and Suzhou will also open one after another, with a total investment of 8.4 billion yuan and a total of 3,000 beds planned.
