In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, guide and support enterprises, social organizations and individuals who are willing and able to actively participate in public welfare and charity, and bring together various forces in society to jointly protect the health of mothers and infants, on May 10, 2024, the Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, together with the Biostime Maternal and Child Relief Fund of the Red Cross Foundation of China and the Guangxi Red Cross Foundation, launched the 2024 "Mother's Day" theme public welfare activity of "Gathering Charity to Protect the Health of Mothers and Infants". Lu Yijun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the hospital, Zhou Jianing, head of the Southern District of Biostime Maternal and Child Relief Fund, Wei Yurong, Director of the Publicity and Financing Department of the Guangxi Red Cross Foundation, and Liang Wei, Deputy Director of the Publicity and Financing Department, attended the event.
In his speech at the event, Lu Yijun emphasized that maternal and child health is the cornerstone of national health and an important support for the realization of the strategic goal of Healthy China. On the occasion of Mother's Day, our hospital ushered in the awarding and launching ceremony of the China Red Cross Foundation Biostime Maternal and Child Relief Project and the Guangxi Red Cross Foundation's "Reproductive Health" public welfare project.
Zhou Jianing said that since Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Maternal and Child Health Hospital joined the "Love Designated Hospital" project of Biostime Maternal and Child Relief Fund in 2014, it has been 10 years, and through professional treatment and loving assistance, 120 seriously ill maternal and infant families have been saved, and about 1.11 million yuan has been distributed. In the future, the two sides will unite the power of love, set sail, gradually improve the rescue measures for critically ill mothers and children in South China, and escort the health of women and children in South China with professional technology and warm services.
Wei Yurong said that in order to improve the awareness of fertility protection among the masses, release fertility potential, and promote the long-term balanced development of the population. The Guangxi Red Cross Foundation and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Maternal and Child Health Hospital jointly launched the "Reproductive Health" public welfare project, hoping to popularize reproductive health knowledge and improve the public's health literacy and health culture through public welfare forces.
At the event, Lu Yijun, Zhou Jianing, Wei Yurong and relevant personnel attended the awarding ceremony of the "Love Designated Hospital" of the Hopstime Maternal and Child Relief Project of the China Red Cross Foundation and the launching ceremony of the "Reproductive Health" public welfare project of the Guangxi Red Cross Foundation.
Subsequently, the medical staff conducted a postpartum yoga demonstration to show the woman's style and charm, and convey gratitude and blessings to the mother. Immediately afterwards, Chen Yumei, deputy chief physician of the Department of Gynecology, and Yu Yang, director of the hospital office, respectively gave popular science lectures on "Fertility Protection Health Knowledge" and "Prenatal Education Health Knowledge" to enhance women's awareness of fertility protection, promote a comprehensive and scientific understanding of prenatal education knowledge for pregnant women, and further improve the quality of the birth population.

The event site specially set up interesting "pregnant mother skills competition" and "give birth to dad" interactive links, so that expectant mothers and fathers-to-be can enhance their parenting skills and experience the hardships of childbirth, and thank the mother's life for the gift and pay without regrets in the experience.
At the same time, the event carried out free screening for thyroid cancer and breast cancer and free assessment of uterine fibroids, providing screening for more than 100 women and escorting the health of the majority of women.
