The results show that pregnant women in the early stages of COVID-19 infection have positive blood and stool test results, but their vaginal secretions, milk, placenta, amniotic fluid, and newborn cord blood test results are mostly negative.
A very small percentage of newborns will be positive. However, after research analysis, the positiveness of these newborns is likely to be related to the mother's environment at the time of childbirth.
If the mother is positive, once the newborn is born, it is necessary to quickly leave the delivery room or operating room and immediately move to another relatively clean environment for umbiliculation, washing and bandaging.

Current studies have confirmed that when a mother is suspected or has a coronavirus, no new coronavirus is found in her breast milk. Therefore, breastfeeding is safe when a mother is infected with the new crown virus.
But the virus can spread through pregnant mothers' mouths when they talk, cough or sneeze. Therefore, if breastfeeding, it is recommended to take the following precautions to avoid infections during breastfeeding as much as possible:
Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds before touching your child or breast pump, wearing a cover (completely covering your face) and a mask at the same time, and avoid talking or coughing while breastfeeding.
If you have a cough or sneeze, etc., you need to change your mask immediately.
In the case of manual or mechanical milk extraction, strict cleaning and hygiene are strictly observed; the breast pump should be disinfected after pumping.
Mothers are advised to feed their newborns with bottles or spoons after milk is expressed.
If the mother's nucleic acid test result is negative after 14 days, breastfeeding is possible. In addition, if you have returned to negative, you can also breastfeed normally.

Can I open the window for ventilation?
There is currently no evidence that airborne viruses can cause infection at very low concentrations.

Physical disinfection is preferred in the home, and you can choose to expose your clothes to the sun, boil the tableware and natural ventilation.
Chemical disinfection is also possible, mainly for items brought into the home from the outside. The outer packaging can be wiped or sprayed with a low concentration of disinfectant (250mg/L-500mg/L chlorine-containing disinfectant). The contents of the package can be left in a ventilated area for 30 minutes before disposal. If other items in the home need to be disinfected, remember to wipe with water after 30 minutes of action.
