Fever, cough, sore throat, body aches...
Just now my friend was still complaining
In the past few years of the epidemic, I have been safe and sound
Fortunately, the first wave of peaks at the end of last year was avoided
But recently "first sun"
(Refers to the first infection with the new coronavirus)
And there are quite a few people around me recently
It seems that it is also experiencing a wave of "two yangs"
(Refers to re-infection with the new coronavirus)
("Yang" once became a hot word on the Internet)
Well, about the "two yangs",
What do we need to know?
According to the latest weekly report of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 6 months after the first infection with the new coronavirus Omicron variant, the chance of reinfection with the new coronavirus has increased significantly [1].
If your immunity is weak, you may have less than 6 months since the previous infection, and you will have the risk of "two yang".
On the one hand, the new crown virus is still mutating, and its immune escape ability and infectivity are constantly increasing;
On the other hand, as the time from the "first sun" or the previous shot of vaccine becomes longer, our immunity to the new crown is gradually declining.
All of this will increase the risk of "second yang" or even "first yang" in the coming months.
It is still necessary to confirm the diagnosis by a new crown antigen test or a new crown nucleic acid test.
The former can generally be operated on its own, while the latter is currently generally carried out in a medical institution.
Studies have shown that more than 90% of "eryang" cases have symptoms.
The main symptoms are still fever, sore throat, nasal congestion, cough and other typical symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection, and may be accompanied by muscle aches, loss of taste, etc.
Studies have shown that while the majority of "eryang" cases will be symptomatic, less than 8% of cases require medical intervention [1].
In other words, the symptoms of most people can disappear on their own, and there is no need to worry about it.
Many people also say on the Internet that the symptoms of their "Eryang" are milder than those of "Chuyang". If it is really uncomfortable, it can be treated symptomatically (should reduce fever, should relieve cough).
Some people find that their eyes are sore, swollen, and watery after "Eryang", and they have conjunctivitis.
But this is not necessarily caused by "two yang". A variety of viruses (e.g., adenovirus, influenza virus, enterovirus, etc.) can cause conjunctivitis.
At present, there is no sufficient evidence that conjunctivitis is "two yang". Whether "Eryang" will cause more cases of conjunctivitis needs more data support.
People with weak immunity, such as the elderly and patients with underlying diseases, are high-risk groups of "Eryang" [2].
The data show that the incidence of "two yang" in medical staff is also higher than that of other groups [1].
Regular ventilation: 2 to 3 times a day, 30 minutes each time
Wash your hands frequently: When returning from a trip, wash your hands regularly with running water and soap (hand sanitizer).
Wear a mask: Wear a mask when visiting a hospital or to crowded and confined places
Heavy etiquette: Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, and keep your distance from people with respiratory symptoms
Vaccination: Complete the basic immunization and booster immunization of the new crown vaccine in a timely manner
Maintain a healthy lifestyle: timely complete the basic immunization and booster immunization of the new crown vaccine, reasonable diet, moderate exercise, quit smoking and limit alcohol, adjust mentality, and improve immunity
At present, vaccination is still an effective means to avoid infection and reinfection, avoid the development of severe disease and death, and avoid the "sequelae of the new crown" [3].
If you belong to an infected person who has not completed primary immunization, or an uninfected person who has not completed the first dose of booster immunization, it is still recommended to receive the next dose of the new crown vaccine in time.
In summer, the incidence of infectious diseases of the digestive tract such as bacterial dysentery, typhoid fever, and various gastroenteritis will be higher than in winter and spring.
Paying attention to hand hygiene and avoiding unclean food and drinking water can keep us away from intestinal infectious diseases.
May each of us be "beautiful" and "joyful", and no longer "yang yang yang"!
