To ask a question, what do you think is the most important thing about a pure electric vehicle?
This can vary from person to person, but from a practical point of view, range is obviously very important, and from an experiential point of view, then today's popular smart interconnection features are also very important.
But these are not the right answers, if you put aside the surface into the essence, the safety performance of a car, obviously the most important, for pure electric vehicles.
After all, even if a car is eye-catching and the configuration is high, if even the most basic safety cannot be guaranteed, it is obviously just a good-looking "skin bag", which is tantamount to putting the cart before the horse.

Pure electric vehicles due to the capacity of the battery pack, and the battery pack is well known as a complex chemical energy storage program, compared to the fuel vehicle, the energy conversion path has changed, the complexity is higher, so in the definition of safety, pure electric vehicles not only to consider the vehicle's own active and passive safety, but also to consider the safety of the power level, safety should be paid more attention to.
How to build a safe pure electric vehicle? Different brands have their own standards, but there is one model that has taken the lead in "proofing" for us, and this car is Atuka.
As a pure electric vehicle launched by GAC Mitsubishi, Artuka recently participated in the test of the hardcore electric fun laboratory, which was tested by multiple links of the National Automobile Quality Inspection and Inspection Center, and its good safety performance even surprised the quality inspectors present.
Among them, in the battery immersion test, Atuka's battery pack was soaked in water for up to 30 minutes, and the lowest point of the battery pack during the soaking process was 1 meter below the water surface, and then fished out and left for observation for 2 hours, unpacked and tested the insulation resistance of the battery pack.
The results showed that the Atuka battery pack did not have the phenomenon of fire and explosion, there was no water trace inside after unpacking, and the measurement of insulation resistance was far better than the requirements of the national standard.
The battery immersion test actually tests the ability of the battery pack to isolate the external environment. When we use cars in daily life, we often experience rainy weather, and even wading on the road, and once the battery pack enters the water, it is often easy to short circuit, leakage and other situations, the consequences are very serious, which undoubtedly poses a new challenge for new energy vehicles equipped with battery packs. The protective performance of Atuka's battery packs is fully guaranteed due to the double-layer sealing design, ensuring that even in harsh environments it is still unaffected.
In the battery extrusion test, Artuka's ternary lithium battery pack was squeezed in the X and Y axis directions by the extrusion head with a radius of 75mm at the front end, stopped when the extrusion force reached 100 KN (10 tons) or the shape variable reached 30%, held for 10 minutes, and then stood for 2 hours.
The results showed that the body of Artuka's battery pack had almost no deformation, only the buffer part of the outer edge was affected, and the power interface in the X-axis direction still did not affect the safety of the battery pack under heavy pressure.
This test test is the rigidity and extrusion resistance of the battery pack, in our daily life, some serious traffic accidents often damage the structure of the car body, for the battery pack if a large deformation will inevitably squeeze the internal battery pack, it is easy to cause short circuit and fire. With excellent design and the use of structural parts, Atuka's battery packs ensure absolute strength at the PACK level, which in turn improves the safety of the vehicle.
In body rigidity testing, Artuco is pressure tested on the roof and side doors. Among them, the static pressure test on the roof is as high as 2.8 tons, which is 1.5 times the mass of the whole vehicle, and the extrusion test of the side door requires the application of 5.7 tons of force to the main driving space door, which is 3 times the mass of the whole vehicle, and each test is completed in 12 seconds.
The test results show that Artuco not only successfully passed the test, the roof was even almost untouched under such pressure, the displacement of the extrusion part was only 20.5mm, and the displacement of the door part was 215.5mm, both of which did not cause space infringement for the occupants of the car, and the rigidity of the body exceeded the test of the national standard by 2 times.
In fact, in our daily use of the car, once a higher speed bias collision occurs, it is easy to cause the vehicle to roll over, in this case, whether the body rigidity of a car is strong enough directly determines the safety of the personnel in the car.
It is understood that artuco white body application of die-cast aluminum, extruded aluminum, stamped aluminum, high-strength steel and other high-quality materials, body bending stiffness of 26744N/mm, torsional stiffness of 2849Nm/rad, which means that the body will only bend 1mm under the action of 2.7 tons of force, strong body stiffness not only ensures safety, but also has a significant contribution to the lifting of the control and the suppression of abnormal noise.
In the face of Artuco's excellent performance, in order to further verify Artuco's limits, the testers even doubled the intensity of the application of roof pressure, so that Artuco still performed very stable.
Write at the end:
Car manufacturing is an industry with a high threshold for entry, but it is a business after all, and it is an industry that pays great attention to the conscience of enterprises.
Over the years, we can always see a variety of models secretly simple reports, in a car those "invisible" places, because ordinary consumers do not have a strong perception of the value of this aspect, often become the hardest hit area to cut corners, at this time the test is whether the car company can implement the concept of "building a good car" throughout.
Vehicle safety, as the basic guarantee of every driver and occupant, is a project that cannot be quantified in daily use, and the test laboratory of the authoritative institution is a good way to show extreme scenes.
From the experimental results of Artuka's hardcore electric fun laboratory, we can see that Atuka still maintains the consistent high standards of GAC Mitsubishi in those "invisible" places, especially in the daily use of consumers can not feel it, but it is extremely critical battery sealing, extrusion capacity and roof strength in three aspects, Artuka has passed the test with far exceeding the industry standard.
As gazc Mitsubishi's first joint venture hardcore pure electric SUV, behind this result, it reflects not only Atuka's own quality, but also GAC Mitsubishi's attitude towards the current electrification transformation.
