According to official data, in March, the Han family sold a total of 12,359 vehicles, of which Han EV bicycle sales exceeded 10,000 units, in addition to Han DM sales also increased by 524.9% month-on-month.
It is worth noting that since the listing of BYD Han, the cumulative sales volume has exceeded 190,000 units.
It is understood that BYD Han has two models, pure electric EV and oil-electric hybrid PHEV, with a price range of 214,800-284,500 yuan, of which the pure electric entry model is 214,800 yuan, and the starting price of plug-in hybrid DM is 222,800 yuan.
And the han family's new model "DM-i/P" has opened pre-sale and will be listed on April 10, of which Han DM-i is 21.68-29.28 million yuan and Han DM-p is 322,800 yuan.
The outside world predicts that after the launch of these two new cars, the Han series may usher in another wave of new sales highs, and even have the opportunity to exceed 20,000 units per month.
In addition, BYD also officially released the "Instructions on Stopping the Production of Fuel Vehicles" yesterday evening.
The statement said that BYD will stop the production of fuel vehicles from March 2022. In the future, BYD will focus on pure electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in the automotive sector.
Of course, BYD will continue to provide perfect service and after-sales protection for existing fuel vehicle owners, as well as the supply of spare parts throughout the life cycle.
As soon as the announcement came out, IT also meant that BYD became the first car company in the world to truly stop producing pure fuel vehicles.
Why did BYD choose to stop producing fuel vehicles?
According to the production and sales express report released by BYD, its new energy vehicle production in March was 106,700 units, sales of 104,900 units, while fuel vehicle production and sales were "0"; from January to March, BYD's cumulative sales of fuel vehicles were only 5,049 units, down 89.78% year-on-year, and accounted for only 1.7% of total sales.
According to the data, in March 2021, bydir's sales of new energy vehicles exceeded the traditional fuel vehicles for the first time, reaching 59.33%.
In 2021, BYD's cumulative sales volume was 740,000 units, of which new energy vehicle sales were 603,800 units, accounting for 81.58%, while fuel vehicle sales were 136,300 units, accounting for 18.4%.
