Screening range of NT ultrasound

Gestational age
Pregnancy 11-13 weeks, is the best time for pregnant women to do NT, pregnancy week too early to see the situation of the fetus, pregnancy week too late, will miss a good opportunity.
If it is later than 14 weeks, the measured NT value will not be accurate enough.
2. Fetal position
The fetus lies on its side, with the fetal head and nose facing upwards, so that the position is better and more convenient for the doctor to measure.
However, if the fetus has its head up, the NT value will not be accurate enough.
If the fetus is in a state of erection, then the NT value will be higher than the true value, so the error will be larger.
3. Number of measurements

Pregnant women do NT color ultrasound, what should I do if the NT value is too high?
NT ultrasound is most mainly used to screen Down children, such as: 21, 18, 13 chromosomes, in addition, it can also screen for triploid chromosome abnormalities, heart and other malformations.
At 11-13 weeks of pregnancy, the higher the NT value of the fetus, the higher the probability of developing chromosomal or heart disease after the baby is born.
If the value of NT is in the normal range, pregnant women do not have to worry too much. If the NT value of the fetus is between 3 and 7 mm, the fetus is at risk of developing a Down child.
If the fetal NT value exceeds 7 mm, the probability of the Down child is higher.

1. Maintain an adequate diet

2. Maintain adequate exercise

3. Maintain the activity of the fetus
If the fetus happens to be sleeping at this time, the sleeping fetus will not be willing to turn around, which will increase the difficulty of the NT ultrasound examination.
