NIO delivered 9,985 new vehicles in March, up 37.6% year-on-year

Jiwei Network News (Wen/Lin Xueying) On April 1, Weilai Automobile issued a document saying that it delivered 9,985 new cars in March this year, an increase of 37.6% year-on-year and 63% month-on-month; 25,768 vehicles were delivered in the first quarter, an increase of 28.5% year-on-year.

Deliveries of the NIO ET7, the flagship smart electric sedan, have been opened for delivery, with 163 units delivered as of March 31. More new cars are on their way to various places and will be delivered to users one after another.

The 2022 ES8, ES6 and EC6 models equipped with the latest smart cockpit hardware are expected to be released in late May, as well as the existing user smart cockpit upgrade plan, and the new large five-seater SUV ES7 born on the NT2 platform will also be released at the same time.

At the performance call, NIO revealed that it will soon release the ES7, the first SUV model based on NIO's second-generation technology platform NT2. The new product is positioned in the medium and large high-end five-seat SUV market, and is scheduled to start delivery in the third quarter of this year.

Regarding the second production base, WEIlai said that the construction and equipment installation of the second production base located in hefei Xinqiao Intelligent Automobile Industrial Park have been basically completed, and the commissioning work is progressing smoothly. The second production base is planned to have a production capacity of 60JPH, and is scheduled to start production in the third quarter of this year, with the first model produced being the ET5. On March 16, the first ET5 prototype car was rolled off the production center.

In addition, NIO's business work for the new mass market brand is progressing smoothly, the core team has been completed, the strategic direction and development plan have been clarified, and the first batch of products has entered the key research and development stage.
