However, when the Eletre transforms into a pure electric SUV, a model that has nothing to do with lightweight, will Lotus turn its back on its original belief?
Apparently, Eletre is still so paranoid.
Unlike the current pure electric cars that mostly make the middle net closed, Eletre not only did not do this, but even made the size larger to ensure sufficient heat dissipation. In addition, the front lip part is designed with an active heat dissipation opening, which further guarantees heat dissipation while providing 51 kg of downforce.
However, for such a medium and large pure electric SUV, a key that Lotus needs to solve is the wind resistance problem. To this end, Lotus's engineers can be said to have racked their brains.
First of all, the Eletre's headlights adopt a split design, the upper part is a daytime running lamp embedded in the lid, and the lower headlight group is hidden on both sides of the front surround, which can be described as quite clever.
Secondly, the front of the new car is very low, continuing the usual style of Lotus sports cars; the front face is cut out in many places so that air can flow from the front of the car to the sides of the body; the upper sides of the cover are also designed with vents, and extend to the two sides of the fenders, allowing air to easily pass through the front of the car.
A number of aerodynamic designs make the Eletre's front end still super-running, bringing a strong sense of impact.
In pursuit of extremely low wind resistance, Eletre's aerodynamic design can be described as all over the body. For example, there is also a double-layer large-size tail diffuser device under the rear surround, which can well rectify the air flowing through the chassis and increase the downforce; the tail active electric rear spoiler can generate up to 116 kg of downforce.
In the end, the use of extreme aerodynamics has created Eletre's ultra-low wind resistance coefficient of only 0.26Cd, becoming the "son of the wind" in the field of pure electricity, which further improves power and control in exchange for low power consumption.

Secondly, Eletre has a strong tuning team. Eletre was tuned by Lotus's Dynamics team from Hessel, UK, and China, Sweden and Germany.

Eletre's three-electric system features an 800V high-voltage platform, which indicates its powerful performance. Strong hardware and software strength has brought Eletre a stronger perception ability, and it may not be difficult to achieve more accurate wiring and later braking on the track.
Of course, since the perception is so strong, Eletre's intelligent technology in the cockpit will inevitably be very powerful.
First of all, the cockpit of the new car is quite technological and quite stunning. Different from the popular dual-screen design, the Eletre's main and co-pilots are equipped with a thin strip of 12.6-inch full LCD display in front of them, while in the center of the central control is equipped with a 15.1-inch, foldable OLED multimedia touch screen.
In addition, the new car also offers a 29-inch AR HUD head-up display system, while the rear is equipped with a foldable 9-inch central screen. It is worth mentioning that the new car is equipped with streaming media exterior rearview mirrors to reduce blind spots. However, at present, domestic laws and regulations on streaming media exterior rearview mirrors have not yet been passed.
In addition to the strong sense of technology, the luxury of the Eletre interior has also reached the peak of Lotus.
The new car features a 5-door, 4-seat layout, and all four seats are one-piece seats, which can bring better wrapping. It is worth mentioning that the new car is fully equipped with the British KEF brand sound system, with 15 speakers and 1380 watts of power. If not, users can also choose an upgraded version of the KEF Reference system, which has 2160 watts of functionality, 23 speakers and advanced technologies such as Uni-Q and 3D surround sound.
