On the eve of the ring, Colnago unveiled a new carbon fiber TT1 chronograph with a new aerodynamic design. As a new weapon for the UAE team in the race against time, the Colnago TT1 chronograph has finally ushered in a disc brake version.
The UAE team will make their debut with the Colnago TT1 at the Tour de Italy in Budapest this weekend. Colnago claims that the TT1 is a comprehensive evolution of their K.One chronograph, and the addition of disc brakes has led to a major overhaul of the model.
The Tube Angle of the Colnago TT1 frame is thicker and tougher, and the ultra-high integration makes this chronograph look very simple and generous. The ultra-wide fork compares to the previous generation of K ONE forks, like "large bowl of lasagna" and "thin noodles", and the addition of storage boxes further enhances the potential of this car.
The TT1 is Colnago's first disc brake version of the chronograph and represents the highest level of current research on aerodynamic performance by Colnago, whose aerodynamic performance has been validated in the wind tunnel laboratory of the Politecnico di Milano.
Colnago's engineers adopted disc brakes relatively late, but the benefits were enormous. Hydraulic disc brakes make the vehicle wiring more neat and beautiful, and also improve the aerodynamic performance.
Thanks to the barrel shaft design of the disc brake, Colnago was able to create such a thin "bayonet" fork, which greatly reduced the windward area and improved the aerodynamic performance by leaps and bounds.
The design of the storage compartment is not yet fully completed, and Colnago said it will launch a 500ml Elite water bottle for use in the storage warehouse this fall and obtain permission from UCI.
We will find that In order to optimize aerodynamic performance, Colnago also shortened the head tube length of the TT1 and increased the Stack height so that the upper tube can be completely leveled, while the previous K.One top tube was slightly inclined.
The TT1 only supports an electrostatic kit with a removable front mount.
The new TT1 is still under development, but Colnago has already received approval from UCI to allow UAE teams to use a prototype of the new car in competition. Colnago expects some necessary fine-tuning to pass the approval process and says it should be available to consumers this fall.
