In Huang Binhong's works, there is a special kind of painting that deserves much attention, that is, a large number of surviving "ancient paintings". Huang Binhong's sketches are also sketched out of this "ancient painting method", which he believes can "become a personal face", so such works are closely related to Huang Binhong's later changes. Huang Binhong's "ancient painting method" is outlined with what he calls "Taiji Brushwork", which reflects Huang Binhong's "general history" review of the history of Chinese painting, from which it can be seen that he grasps and reflects on the "return to the original point" of Chinese painting. This kind of "ancient painting method" contains many factors of his later changes.
