Gao Le pointed out that the sustainable development of electric vehicles is inseparable from the promotion of charging networks, and infrastructure construction needs to be coordinated with the development of automobile architecture. "Looking to the future, new energy vehicles will be closely linked to smart grids and smart energy networks to realize the storage and use of renewable energy. This requires deep collaboration between the automotive industry and the energy industry to ensure the safety and efficiency of renewable energy applications. ”

By the end of February this year, BMW had networked 380,000 public charging piles, including 200,000 DC fast charging piles. In 2020, BMW's first "charging, photovoltaic, energy storage three-in-one" energy demonstration station was completed in Beijing, which can use solar energy and recycled batteries to charge customer vehicles, and the electricity generated can also be used by dealers. Over the next three years, BMW plans to increase similar energy stations to 100.
