3 years ago, I was holding 200,000 yuan, I wanted to buy a comprehensive joint venture brand SUV, go around in a big circle, just 190,000 landed on a compact SUV with complete configurations in all aspects.
Today, 3 years later, I still have 200,000 in my hand to see that car, the price has not changed, even the configuration has basically not changed, there is a voice assistant that is not easy to use with Siri, a car network that I don't know why, and an ACC without lane keeping. This is not an isolated case, as most of the joint venture brand products in this price range have such trends. Maybe it's because there's no replacement cycle, or maybe it's because manufacturers are spending more energy on electrification.
That's why I didn't recommend my friends to buy this type of car.

Assisted driving experience
The old rule, look at the hardware first. The hardware determines the upper limit of a car's capabilities, and the software determines the lower limit of a car's capabilities.
Jiangling Ford Lingrui is equipped with two monocular vision sensors, one of which is the well-known Mobileye EyeQ4, and the same model equipped with this chip also has Volkswagen's ID. The opening of Jiangling Ford Lingrui Assisted Driving needs to be carried out in 2 steps, the first step is to open the ACC, and the second step is to open the lane keeping. For me, who is accustomed to using a key to open, such a step is slightly cumbersome, but fortunately, its opening button area is large enough, the feel is also very good, and the convenience of blind exercise is very high.
After turning on assisted driving, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the middle area of the instrument became a visual interface for assisted driving. In the previous video, we have repeatedly emphasized the importance of assisted driving visualization, and vehicles need to show the driver what they see and how they think through visualization, so that the driver and the assisted driver can work better together, and traditional car companies are generally unsatisfactory in this regard.
And this car is an exception. At the bottom right of the speedometer, there are also icons for setting the speed, distance, and lane keeping, and the blue lane line mark also indicates that lane keeping is turned on.
In terms of lane keeping ability, Jiangling Ford Lingrui can give you a lot of confidence, whether it is a high-speed curve or a large curvature corner in the ramp, there will be no left, right and dragon painting, which can be said to be a basic operation for Mobileye EyeQ4 and Lingrui, but this is also the core of the assisted driving experience.
In the corners of the Outer Loop Expressway, at a speed of 80 km/h, the lane-keeping function will stably "press" the car in the lane.
The steering control is also more natural, and it will not be adjusted little by little like a machine. In the high curvature curve, Lingrui can pass stably at a speed of 40 km/h, there is no problem in ability, and if the vehicle can automatically reduce the speed as the curvature increases, this performance will be better.
In terms of distance maintenance, Lingrui will also choose a safe distance according to the different speeds, and we can also manually adjust the distance with the car, with a total of 4 gears adjustable.
Under the normal car distance, the visualization will have a blue marker, when the distance is too close, it will take the lead in marking the front car yellow to prompt the driver, if the distance is further closer, the front car will be marked red to warn the driver to ensure a safe car distance.
In the case of the front car congestion, Lingrui's reaction speed is very fast, and there will be no strong braking to pull the driving distance. Instead, first mark the front car in red on the visualization, tell the driver that the car in front has been recognized, give the driver a certain confidence, and then gradually pull the driving distance to restore to a safe car distance.
On the whole, the auxiliary driving ability of Ford Lingrui can already be closed in closed sections such as high speeds and elevated roads, which greatly liberates the hands and feet of drivers. What surprised me even more was that Lingrui also had the function of automatically turning on the lights and changing lanes, and it was difficult to imagine such a function in a fuel SUV at this price point.
According to the statement, Lingrui's automatic lighting and lane change function can only be used on the premise of high-speed road sections and navigation. After our actual measurements, the automatic light lane change function does need to be used on the highway section, and the minimum speed must be more than 60 km/h to be used, but the car navigation does not need to be forced on.
In actual experience, Ford Lingrui's light lane change function is remarkable, and the overall lane change stability is very good, even if the speed reaches 120 km/h, it can still be changed to the target lane very stably.
When judging the safety of lane change, Lingrui will judge according to the state of the front and rear cars in the target lane. Generally speaking, if the front or rear vehicles in the target lane are 30 meters away from themselves, they can initiate lane changes, and this distance is a relatively long distance even if it is put to high speed.
If the rear speed is too fast, Lingrui will judge that it is not suitable for lane change at present to avoid accidents, and the overall lane change strategy is still relatively conservative.
On the highway, we also happened to encounter the construction section, and the cone barrel was laid on the fast lane. We also did a test on the construction section, and the moment the left turn signal was turned off, the system told us that we were not suitable for lane change at the moment. Although it is not visually displayed, obstacles such as cone barrels can still be recognized.
To be honest, at first I didn't have much confidence in the car's lighting and lane changing function, after all, the price is here, and there is no opponent who can be compared with the level.
And the use of millimeter wave + vision in the front, the side of the rear only rely on millimeter wave to "touch" the scheme, but also let me have no bottom. It wasn't until I actually experienced it that I realized that this was not a gimmick function, but a function that could actually assist the driver to change lanes.
However, in a more practical road condition, Lingrui's set of lights to change lanes has certain requirements for the distance between the front and rear of the target lane, which can give a good performance in the case of moderate traffic flow, when the traffic on the road becomes larger, the performance of Lingrui will tend to be conservative to ensure driving safety.
Parking experience
In addition to the intelligence of assisted driving, Jiangling Ford Lingrui also has several highlights in the parking function. Ford officials said that Lingrui's APA 5.0 system will integrate 12 ultrasonic radars and 4 surround view cameras to form a visually integrated parking solution, which is also the development direction of the parking vehicle flow.
The opening method of parking is also very simple, there is a parking button on the center console, after opening, the car has the opportunity to jump out of the parking mode you want, respectively, there are parking in place, parking out and following the trail.
In the parking position, the vertical parking and side parking we usually encounter can be competent, and the parking speed will not be very slow, and the two parking spaces can be completed in about 1 minute under normal circumstances.
And under the integration of visual perception, Lingrui's requirements for the parking environment will not be so high, after all, the parking space is "seen" out, not only by radar "touch". Therefore, Lingrui's comprehensive parking ability is worth affirming at the same price.

First, we tested vertical parking. In order to increase the difficulty of the test, I gradually narrowed the width of the parking space, and finally set the width of the parking space at 3 meters, where 3 meters does not mean that the actual parking space is 3 meters, but the distance between the adjacent two cars is three meters, if you calculate according to the line parking space, it is at most a 2.5 meters parking space, which is already relatively narrow.
After the completion of the parking, the distance between the left and right sides is not much different, compared with the distance of the left car is 60 cm, compared with the distance on the right side is 62 cm, which can be regarded as the distance that can barely open the door and get off.
Moreover, after Lingrui parked in the parking space for the first time, the distance compared to the left car was very narrow, and the space compared to the right car was relatively generous. Therefore, after the first parking, Lingrui did not rush to complete the parking, but instead pulled forward to adjust the posture, so that the body was between the two cars to park in the parking space, which was commendable.
During the parking process, the surround view camera will be turned on at all times, reflecting the movement status of the vehicle in real time. The first thing that comes into sight is this double 12.3-inch large joint screen. The display content of the instrument screen is relatively simple, the left and right sides are the conventional speedometer and the tachometer, and the middle is the driving information of the vehicle. When the vehicle is turned on for assisted driving, the middle area switches to a visual interface for assisted driving. After we adjust the vehicle to the sport mode, the instrument will also have a motion interface, the difference between the two modes is not much, both are concise and intuitive.
While driving, the information status of the vehicle can be read quickly. The 12.3-inch central control screen UI in the middle is very simple in design, and the music and navigation on the homepage are all commonly used functions.
Below is the air conditioning convenient operation interface, no need to enter the air conditioning interface to quickly adjust the temperature, air volume, etc., click on the small icon can also directly enter the air conditioning adjustment interface, for more detailed air conditioning adjustment.
As a traditional manufacturer, Lingrui does not integrate all functions into the screen very aggressively like the new forces, but adds a row of air conditioning touch buttons below the screen. It is commendable that after the touch, there is also vibration feedback, and the vibration force is moderate, somewhat similar to the vibration of the mobile phone, which allows the driver to clearly get the pressure feedback.

The application of vehicle support is much richer than that of the same level of models, and Baidu CarLife and HUAWEI HiCar are supported on mobile phone Internet, and iQiyi is also supported in entertainment.

Jiangling Ford Lingrui supports autoNavi and Tencent dual maps, and there is another highlight in Tencent maps, that is, it supports AR real-world navigation.
