Many models are equipped with the L2 driver assistance function, which, if skilled, can reduce fatigue for our long-distance travel. According to statistics, more than 50% of car owners do not understand it.
The two features of the L2 Driver Assist Core are adaptive cruising and lane keeping. Adaptive cruise is divided into ordinary adaptive cruise and full speed adaptive cruise, ordinary adaptive cruise needs to reach a certain speed to open, such as speed of 25km/ h or more, in urban and suburban congestion road conditions can not be used, and full speed adaptive cruise can be opened after the vehicle starts. Let's take Lynk & Co's full-speed adaptive cruise as an example to talk about how it is used.
After starting the vehicle, first press the "5" position button to start the full speed adaptive cruise, and then continuously push the "3" lever to set the cruising speed, increase the cruising speed by 10km/h with a long push, and increase 1km/h with a short push until it is adjusted to the desired speed (such as 80km/h). If there are no other vehicles in front of this lane, it is driven at a uniform speed at a set speed of 80km/h, and if there is a car in front of this lane, the system will automatically adjust the speed according to the safe distance from the car in front, such as automatic follow-up at an interval of 50 meters. If you feel that the distance with the car is too far, the next lane is often queued, press the "2" button to shorten the distance with the car, on the contrary, press the "3" button, and the distance with the car is adjustable in total three gears. However, the right foot should be placed on the brake pedal all the way, emergency manual participation, to avoid danger, L2 level assisted driving is not safe, the driver needs to supervise at all times.
The second most useful feature is lane keeping, some models call "lane assist", we take the Tiggo 8 PRO as an example. Open lane keep only need to press the "red circle" button, after pressing, the system began to search for lane lines, Tiggo 8 PRO search speed is very fast, about a second or two, after recognizing the lane line, the steering wheel will be slightly adjusted, notifying the driver that the lane keeping function has taken effect. After that, the system automatically corrects the direction in the lane, as long as the lane line is clear, no matter the big or small curve, the vehicle is always stable in the center of the lane.
The lane assist function of some models is not intuitive enough in the menu in the central control screen. Personally, I think that the lane assist function is practical and the probability of use is very high, and it should be set to the multi-function steering wheel.
In addition to adaptive cruising and lane keeping, most of the other L2 driver assistance functions are turned on in the vehicle settings.
Like the lane departure warning system, as shown in the figure, it is recommended to set it to the on state. During lane keeping, once the hands accidentally interfere with the steering wheel, press the line or deviate from the lane, it will have sound and vibration reminders, which greatly improves the safety factor.
Traffic sign recognition, it is collected by the camera behind the rearview mirror road traffic sign information, displayed on the dashboard, like speed limit information, prohibit left and right turns, lift the speed limit, etc., when speeding, there is a reminder on the dashboard, which can effectively reduce the probability of violation.
Active braking systems, also known as collision warning. It takes effect when adaptive cruise is not in use, when the vehicle is less than a safe distance from the vehicle in front, the first alarm is issued, and if the driver does not react, the system automatically slows down.
Parallel-assisted, also known as blind spot monitoring. Models with less than 250,000 are equipped with medium and high equipment, and most models with more than 300,000 models will be equipped with parallel auxiliary functions as standard. Blind spots on both sides are detected by the side rear radar, usually illuminated in the rearview mirror lenses or at the location shown in the picture. Since we first look at the rearview mirror when changing lanes, as long as the lights are on, we do not change lanes, effectively reducing the risk of lane changes.
Fatigue driving reminder function. Based on the camera, infrared sensor to monitor the driver's physiological characteristics, the use of the driver's facial features, eye signals, head movements, etc. to infer the driver's fatigue state, such as the driver's steering operation frequency becomes low, and accompanied by a slight but sharp steering action to maintain the driving direction, is a typical manifestation of driving energy inattention. It carries out alarm prompts and devices that take corresponding measures. There is also a simple fatigue driving reminder, which is reminded according to the distance and duration of driving.
Reversing side warning system. When reversing, the two radars will scan the area on both sides of the vehicle, monitor the moving objects within a certain range of the left rear and the right rear in real time, and if there are pedestrians, animals, motor vehicles and other moving objects close to the rear of the car, an alarm sound will be issued to warn the driver.
Automatic parking system. Using ultrasonic sensors or cameras around the body to identify suitable parking spaces, the driver only needs to switch gears according to the prompts after confirming the parking space, and the system can park the car in the parking space. Reducing the driver's operation steps in the parking position, the driver can better observe the situation around the vehicle, improving convenience and safety.

Finally, I remind everyone that L2-level assisted driving can play a role in alleviating driving fatigue and safety reminders to a certain extent, the degree of intelligence is still low, and the safety factor is equally low, it can only be used as an auxiliary, and must be supervised by the driver throughout the process.
For example, adaptive cruise even if the minimum distance with the car is set will not be very close, at least 20 meters or more, in the serious congestion of the road conditions will inevitably be plugged, in the front car brakes or the intersection suddenly appears vehicles, can not be accurate identification. In short, L2 assisted driving can only be used for driving assistance in simple road conditions, skilled use can alleviate fatigue, complex road conditions must not be relied on.
