Day 169: 20240430 (Tuesday.Rain)

author:死狗plus

A busy day, a busy day, no sleep at noon. In the evening, I saw off the 3P classmates and planned a bottle of liquor and a bottle of beer. As a result, the liquor was indeed one bottle, and the beer was added by ten. In fact, I didn't drink much, mainly because I was very tired after a busy day, and I just wanted to lie down when I went home, so I invited Xiaohui.

After reading "The Right Bank of the Erguna River", record it:

From October 12th to 16th, read the first time, and read the second time from the 17th to the 19th. The reason why I read it twice is because it is worth reading twice, or because of the writing technique and characters, I can't understand the relationship between the characters once I read it, and I can't understand it thoroughly.

The author, Chi Zijian, was born on February 27, 1964 in Beibei Village, Mohe City, Daxinganling Region, Heilongjiang Province. He is a member of the Chinese Writers Association, a first-class writer, a member of the 6th and 7th National Committee of the Chinese Writers Association, and a member of the 9th Presidium of the Chinese Writers Association.

The novel tells the story of the tenacious struggle and beautiful love of a weak and small people, in the self-narrated voice of a woman who is the last chieftain of the Evenki tribe who is in her nineties. The language of the novel is exquisite, and it brings to life a group of little-known, flesh-and-blood Evenks with the beauty of simplicity.

On the right bank of the Ergun River on the border between China and Russia, there is an Evenki people who migrated from the shores of Lake Baikal hundreds of years ago and lived with reindeer. They believe in shamans, move and hunt for food, and enjoy the gifts of nature while also suffering hardships, and the population is declining. They sought to reproduce under the harsh cold, fierce beasts, and plagues, and survived under the iron hooves of the Japanese invaders, the clouds of the "Cultural Revolution", and even various modern civilizations. They have great love, great pain, desperate struggle in the face of fate, and helplessness to watch the entire nation decline day by day. However, the love-hate feelings and hatreds from generation to generation, the unique folk customs from generation to generation, and the legends of life and death from generation to generation have demonstrated the tenacious vitality of the weak and small nation and its indomitable national spirit.

Background: When the media reported on the settlement of the Evenks in Aoluguya, many people flocked to Genhe City in Inner Mongolia to witness this so-called great moment in the process of human civilization, but Chi Zijian's heart was filled with a lingering sense of melancholy and desolation. At this time, she came across an article in a newspaper about the fate of the Evenki painter Lyuba and how she walked out of the forest with her talent, and finally quit her job exhausted, returned to the forest, and died in the river in confusion. After reading this article, inspiration came, and Chi Zijian decided to start writing about the history of this nation.

In August 2004, Chi Zijian went to Genhe City to find the hunters' spot on the mountain by following the footprints of the reindeer, found the prototype of the female chieftain in his pen, visited Liuba's mother, listened to their inner pain and sorrow, and listened to them sing. Chi Zijian spent three months intensively reading the research materials on the history and customs of Evenki, and made notes of tens of thousands of words. In 2005, Chi Zijian began to write the novel "The Right Bank of the Ergun River" in his hometown. (Quoted from 360 Encyclopedia)

This book has been popular recently, it may be recommended by Dong Yuhui, or a good work is destined not to be buried, for me, read the whole book twice, not only feel that the description of the characters and scenery can be so wonderful, but also let me understand the historical, cultural and folk characteristics of the Evenki people, through the author's description, through the last chief's daughter in the book, a ninety-year-old man's self-report, let us see the harsh climate environment of the Evenki people, their living habits and love-hate entanglement, national righteousness and ordinary life, they can resist any harsh natural environment, they can be integrated with nature, they can cure the disease and save people in their own way, they can give up everything they do, but they can't escape the invasion of the tide of the times step by step, a nation from tradition to decline, think about it carefully or a little bleak.

Share the beautiful words from this book:

(1) The sun comes out with a red face every morning and sets with a yellow face at night, and there is no cloud on the body all day. The blazing sun licked the river thin, and the grass on the sunny hillside was bent over by the sun.

(2) No matter how bright the winter sun is, it always gives people a cold feeling. At that time, the snow in the forest was thin, and the wild grass and fallen leaves on the sunny slopes were still bare and yellow. Birds skim the treetops in twos and threes, leaving behind a crisp call.

(3) When I am depressed, I go and stand in the wind for a moment, and it will blow away the clouds of sorrow in my heart, and when I am upset, I go to the river and listen to the sound of the flowing water, which will immediately bring me peace of mind.

(4) When you chase something that you run, it is the same as grabbing moonshine with your hand, and you think you have reached out and grabbed it, but if you look closely, your hand is empty.

(5) That night he said several "forevers", which is very much like an oath, and vows are rarely forever.

(6) What you love will lose in the end, and what you don't love can follow you in the long run.

(7) I suddenly understood that in my lamp of life there was still the oil left by Rajda, and although his flame was extinguished, the energy was still there. Although Varoga poured me new lamp oil and lit it with tenderness, what he lit was an old lamp with half-broken oil.

(8) There is no wound in the world that will never heal, although it will still feel pain on a rainy day after healing.

(9) It seems that the things that you don't want to lose the most are the easiest to let go.

(10) I am a mountain, you are a metasequoia, you can give birth to water, water can nourish mountains, mountains and rivers are connected, and heaven and earth will last forever.

The wonderful content in the book, the beautiful text, not to mention the ten sentences and eight sentences that can be said clearly, it is recommended to read the whole book, I found a relationship diagram of the characters in the book and attached it at the end, which is convenient for review and easy to read. And the book has been turned into a movie, and there is a chance to watch it.
