The second model of the previous ideal car, the flagship SUV with the internal code name X01, has once again attracted everyone's attention. Recently, the official name of this car is the ideal L9, and released the interior official map. The new car will be launched at the Beijing Auto Show ahead of schedule, and the third SUV, X02, which is still in testing, will be named the Ideal L7.
Ideal L9 is built with the second generation of range extender platform, positioning large SUV, 6-seat layout, the price is expected to be about 450,000-500,000 yuan, the body size length, width and height are 5200/1998/1800mm, wheelbase 3100mm. Compared to the ideal ONE's 5030/1960/1760mm and wheelbase of 2935mm, it is much larger.
It can be seen from the product planning that L9 takes The Mercedes-Benz GLS as the research and development goal, noting that this mainly refers to the performance parameters, and only in this way can it support the title of the global intelligent flagship SUV. The length, width and height of Mercedes-Benz GLS are 5218/2030/1823mm and wheelbase is 3135mm, and the body size of the two is relatively close.
The exterior of the L9 continues the design style of the ideal ONE, the door handles are hidden, and the interior is very different from the ideal ONE. The most intuitive difference is that L9 does not continue to use the triple screen design, the instrument mainly relies on the central control screen, color HUD, the safe driving interaction screen above the steering wheel to display information, and uses the pocket gear to change gears.
In terms of intelligence, the L9's central control screen, co-driver screen, and rear screen are all 15.7-inch OLED 3K resolution, equipped with dual 8155 car chip, 24GB memory and 256GB storage, and dual 5G operator switching. UWB key and 6 microphones as well as 3DToF sensors to enhance the interactive experience.
In terms of driver assistance, the L9 has L4 level automatic driving hardware, including the AP controller Horizon J3+J5 chip and the SP controller customized Orin-X chip, a 128-line lidar and DMS, 5 millimeter-wave radar, 12 ultrasonic radars and 8M cameras.
Ideal ONE
The chip hash rate is 3.5 times that of Tesla HW3.0, although the current software is still waiting for the OTA to be perfected, but such a hardware configuration can be more easily handled when performing L2 level driving assistance, and improves the ability to remotely summon and self-park.
In terms of comfort configuration, the second row of seats in the L9 has added leg rests and small table panels, and is also equipped with a refrigerator that can be hot and cold, 256-color mood lights, etc. The sound system is provided by American Sound Electronics, which is also a supplier of brands such as Volkswagen.
The L9 chassis uses the front double wishbone rear 5 linkages, equipped with the German Weiback air suspension, it is a supplier of Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, The Kr 001 uses its own air suspension. So from these hardware levels alone, the L9 does have the ability to benchmark mercedes-Benz GLS.

In terms of power, the L9 continues to be equipped with a 1.5T engine as a ranger, using a Miller cycle, with a thermal efficiency of 40%, and has changed from the criticized 3-cylinder to 4-cylinder, and it is believed that the NVH and fuel saving level can be improved.

Judging from the pictures, the exterior shape of the X02 continues the ideal family design style. With a body length of 5030mm and a wheelbase of 3000mm, it also adopts a 4-cylinder range extender, which is expected to be priced at 300,000-400,000 for the Mercedes-Benz GLE.
The ideal ONE is also positioned in a medium and large SUV, and the price of the two cars is relatively close. Given that the Ideal ONE was launched in 2019, more than 4 years before the X02 launch, the professor speculated that the X02 would be an alternative to the Ideal ONE.
Back to the ideal L9, which is about to be released, there are many medium and large SUVs that can be bought at a price of about 450,000-500,000, including Cadillac XT6, Infiniti QX60, Lexus RX, Hongqi HS7 and so on.
But to experience the pure electric feeling is only the Weilai ES8 and Audi Q5 e-tron, and the extender L9 undoubtedly has more advantages in terms of endurance. However, it should be noted that the domestic BMW X5 with similar prices is also a strong product force.
