The 4680 battery is a 46 mm diameter and 80 mm high cylindrical battery, which increases the battery range by 16%, the power output by 6 times, and the energy by 5 times.
According to the current situation forecast, 1 million batteries can meet the production of 1,000 Tesla Model Y, but Tesla's Texas factory did not disclose more information. According to previous information, Tesla's pilot project in California has a battery production target of 10GWh in 2021, but it has not been achieved.
