Recently, there are rumors that the new factory will be built in Austin, Texas, where there are also Tesla Gigafactory and Samsung Chip Factory.

Currently, Micron has two plants in Virginia, one in Idaho, four in Singapore, one in Taiwan, one in Chinese mainland and one in Japan. Micron had previously planned to build a new plant in North Carolina, but plans failed, the sources said.

IT House understands that Micron announced in 2022 that it will invest about $150 million to expand and improve existing plants, and may build more.
