According to the data, in January 2022, the retail sales of narrow passenger cars were 2.079 million units, down 5.0% year-on-year and 1.3% month-on-month. This data is actually not surprising, this year's Spring Festival time is earlier, and the number of people who buy cars before the holiday is not much. At the same time, this year, because of force majeure, we advocate "local New Year". Combining many factors, in fact, the sales volume in January this year as a whole declined, but the sales of new energy vehicles are still rising amazingly. But let's get back to the main theme. Our main inventory in this issue is the sales of cars in January.
The first place Xuanyi, in January sales of 49,982 vehicles. Xuanyi's sales are high, but we don't know why it is so high, almost breaking 50,000, and on this, it is still down 5% year-on-year. It's horrible. It is reasonable to say that there are so many cars in the market now, and there are also many powerful ones, why do you choose to buy a power that is not strong, the configuration is not high, and it is also the Xuanyi of the CVT gearbox? I'm afraid we'll know this if we use ride-hailing software a lot. No matter which city you are in, as long as it is a fast train, you hit 5 times, and the probability of Xuanyi appearing is very high! Don't believe you try. Since last year, I have found that as long as the models with higher sales lists, many of them have flowed into the online ride-hailing market. If you don't believe it, you can slowly observe. So, I have my own little conclusion that a car that sells high is not really a private car, it may also be a production tool.
The second place, Langyi, sold 45,288 vehicles in January, down 18.7% year-on-year. That is to say, Langyi sold more than 50,000 units in January last year. In the sales rankings, Xuanyi and Langyi have been chasing me for many years. Langyi can be said to be the current SAIC Volkswagen housekeeping car, and other models and Langyi are not an order of magnitude at all. Langyi has high sales, and Xuanyi just mentioned, there are also similarities.
Sagitar, the third place, sold 27,735 vehicles in January, down 27.5% year-on-year. It can be seen that although the sales volume of Volkswagen cars in a single month is very high, and the top three account for two places, the year-on-year decline is quite serious. Sagittarius is now similar to Langyi's positioning, slightly higher, or this is the main reason why Sagitar's sales are not as good as Langyi's. However, two of Volkswagen's cars in the top three can be listed, which can still show the strength of Volkswagen in the Chinese market.
Wuling Hongguang MINIEV, the fourth place, sold 26,682 units in January, an increase of 3.5% year-on-year. In the blink of an eye, Hongguang MINIEV has been on the market for almost two years. Last year, a macaron version of the car was released, and it was sold in the same house as the earliest version before it. Although Hongguang MINIEV hit the market of micro-electric vehicles, it also attracted some red-eyed people to follow, Chery produced a QQ ice cream, and Fengguang also launched a scenery MINIEV. That is to say, the car that grabs the cake is coming, can Hongguang MINIEV continue to create a legend? Let's move on!
Bydir Qin, the fifth place, sold 26,541 vehicles in January, up 962.1% year-on-year. This figure is scary enough, but BYD Qin is including the total sales of fuel, DM-i, pure electricity three versions, which is also true. However, since BYD released the DM-i hybrid technology last year, it is also a fact that the sales of Qin DM-i equipped with this technology have soared. Now BYD Qin PLUS DM-i has two versions, one is pure electric endurance of 53km, and the other is pure electric endurance of 120km, that is, "back" two different capacity batteries. From the end market, we found that the car currently has a long delivery cycle, and in January this year, BYD also announced a price increase. Now Qin sales are quite high, but I don't know how to sustain it, look at it.
The sixth place BMW 5 Series sold 26,092 units in January, an increase of 33.6% year-on-year. The reason why the BMW 5 Series sells well is because the BMW 5 Series is now in the BBA, and the discount margin is relatively high. At present, the discount is about 50,000. At the same time, in the BBA, the BMW 5 Series is also the most balanced, both sports, the car is luxurious enough, and the three major pieces are basically not picked.
Seventh place Camry, sales of 24,950 units in January. The Camry is arguably the most successful model of the joint venture brand that continues to maintain its strong momentum after the replacement. Moreover, the Camry now has multiple versions, and there are no discounts for the terminal. At the same time, I think the reason for its success is that this car is not only sold to individual users, but also many people use it as a production tool and make special cars. However, there are too many Camry on the road.
Eighth-place BMW 3 Series, sales of 24,396 units in January, up 22.1% year-on-year. To calculate it this way, the 3 series and 5 series two cars have cut down nearly 50,000 sales. This achievement can definitely be said to be strong. In fact, in recent years, compared with Audi and Mercedes-Benz, BMW's brand power has been quietly going up. Although the interior has not been changed, it is a bit criticized, but the sales are there. Now, many consumers understand that they like the long axis to buy the long axis, like the standard axis to buy the standard axis, BMW has this length to choose. However, the Audi A6L and Mercedes-Benz E do not have this option. I don't know if it hits the line with this demand, but do you start to like the standard axis again?
The ninth-place Accord sold 22,907 units in January, up 15.3% year-on-year. Since the 1.5T engine was replaced, the sales volume of the Accord has stabilized at about 20,000 units, of course, the Accord also has the option of 2.0 liter hybrid. The reason why the Accord can sell well, I think a large part of the reason is that the threshold is relatively low, you lower the threshold, the shape is young, why not buy?
The tenth place, Bora, sold 22,051 vehicles in January, down 42.6% year-on-year. In addition to the top three we just mentioned, there are Langyi and Sagittarius, and then see Volkswagen's models have to look back, Bora has actually been a regular on the sales list. However, january sales fell by 42.6% year-on-year, and the ranking also fell a lot. It can be seen that although Volkswagen's brand power is strong, its advantages have been reduced a lot. If you do not make changes, it is estimated that there is a lot of room for the decline of the Volkswagen brand in the future.
The eleventh yinglang, sales in January were 21,431 units, down 49% year-on-year. From the previous Yinglang to three cylinders, the sales list disappeared, to the replacement of four cylinders, sales back to the peak, GM this time is to understand, the Chinese market does not like four cylinders. However, after returning to the peak, Yinglang's sales did not maintain, or the decline was quite obvious. But to be honest, Yinglang really should change the generation, or strengthen the product strength through other ways, otherwise it will be difficult to rush to the peak again.
The twelfth place Changan Yidong sold 21,324 vehicles in January, down 8.2% year-on-year. I don't know if you noticed it, Changan Yidong is the first self-owned brand model that appears on the car sales list. In other words, the reason why Changan Yidong can sell well, on the one hand, is because of the reputation accumulated over the years, on the other hand, Yidong itself integrates many advantages of domestic cars, large space, high configuration, etc., and at the same time, after years of development in terms of quality, at least Yidong this car has been pure fire. Under a variety of factors, Changan Yidong has always been a regular customer on the list of cars.
The thirteenth Mercedes-Benz E-Class sold 21,020 units in January, up 4.6% year-on-year. Mercedes-Benz E-Class sales have only remained stable since switching back to the 2.0T last year. At the beginning, when the Mercedes-Benz E was dressed up to 1.5T, the Network was full of scolding. As a result, now Mercedes-Benz understands, and then Mercedes, the 1.5T engine sold to 500,000 range, the people may not be able to accept it.
The fourteenth place Emgrand, sales in January were 20,251 units, down 17.7% year-on-year. Last year, Emgrand launched a new generation of products, the shape of the line is the route of Xingrui, and the price has also been improved. The most critical thing is that the production capacity of the 4th generation Emgrand has not yet been fully released. From the order point of view, the product strength of the 4th generation Oftier is still quite high, very competitive in the range of 60,000-100,000 yuan, and the size of this Emgrand can also grab the share of some joint venture brands, and the comprehensive strength is very strong. This part of the sales volume, after the production capacity keeps up, there should still be a lot of room for growth.
In the fifteenth place, Tianlai sold 18,739 vehicles in January, up 19.1% year-on-year. Now the part of Dongfeng Nissan's car, in addition to Xuanyi being able to ride the dust, Tianlai's performance is not so good. However, Tianlai can still be on the list, mainly because there is an online car market, and this part of the share is still very important for Tianlai. However, compared with Accord and Camry, the main disadvantage of Tianlai is that there is no feature, neither sports, nor technology, or old-fashioned comfort, which is a bit outdated for the current mid-size car market.
