The purpose of home economics education is to teach students the principles of being a person and the skills to do things, which helps to enhance students' learning interest and initiative, and helps to cultivate students' overall quality, which is a very meaningful education.

First, the definition of home economics education

Home economics education is an education aimed at family members to assist family members in practical operation and scientific management of various family affairs.

Second, the value of home economics education

The French philosopher and writer Charles Pepan wrote in The Power of Self-Confidence: "In this world, people can reap the fruits of their labor with their own hands after hard work, and find self-esteem, identity and identity in the crystallization of sweat." "Home economics education is an important part of labor education and is a content that needs to be highly valued by the majority of parents.

1. Home economics education can allow children to find the value of their own existence. Everyone has psychological needs that are important and valuable to themselves. In the process of participating in domestic work, children assume the responsibility of the family, slowly feel their importance in the family, and feel the value and meaning of their existence. Over time, children will slowly extend from family responsibilities to social and national responsibilities.

2. Home economics education allows children to have the ability to give and love. Nowadays, many children do not have the ability to give and love, mainly because they have carried too much love under the careful care of their parents for a long time and will not give. In home economics education, children who continue to engage in domestic work will get used to doing things for their families. This heartfelt service is a responsibility, a sharing, a kind of affection, and an expression of love for family members. In the process of practice, parents are most confused about how to carry out home economics education for their children. In home economics education, how to achieve the function of "education"? Here, I have a few small suggestions.

1. Guide your child to design a list of domestic services

Do parents find that in their daily lives and studies, children often have no clue or no way to start. The reason is that there is no good habit of making plans. Everything is predetermined, not predetermined, and the habit of making plans needs to be cultivated from an early age. Designing a list of domestic services is a great way to get started.

According to the age characteristics of the family and the child, the housekeeping list is discussed and formulated with the child: such as sweeping the floor every morning, mopping the floor, wiping the table and chairs; setting the dishes for everyone before eating every day; watering flowers every two days; helping the mother pick vegetables and wash vegetables every day... The proposal should be designed to be filled in by the students themselves every day.

Having a good list of domestic services, and punching in every day, can play a role in supervising the child's self-behavior, so that the child's domestic service is more regular, not procrastinating, not prevaricating.

2. Guide children to take the initiative to solve domestic difficulties

In the process of implementing the list, children will inevitably encounter problems: what detergent is used for clothes of different materials? How to make special pasta....It is not terrible to encounter difficulties, parents should help their children establish the correct concept: "There are problems to be boldly raised", "as long as you think of a way, any problem can be solved" and so on.

Parents should cultivate their children's courage to face problems head-on, not shrink back when they encounter problems, and actively look for solutions to problems. Only in this way can we cope with uncertain social changes in the future.

3. Guide children to take the initiative to innovate domestic projects

Innovation is the only magic weapon to stimulate children's interest. Parents can hold activities such as "creative pasta", "creative platter" and "household item design" to stimulate children's sense of innovation in the activities. At the same time, parents can also guide their children to publish their works in innovative ways, such as videos, anthologies, podcasts, etc., to achieve the goal of "letting the world see my creativity".

Parents guide their children to often have more small ideas in life, bringing beauty and quality to home life, and life will be more poetic and beautiful. At the same time, the spirit of innovation has been stimulated and cultivated to the greatest extent in small domestic projects.

4. Parents take the initiative to evaluate the contents of the list

In home economics education, the purpose of parents' active evaluation is to diagnose, motivate and guide the child's home economics situation, and promote the formation of good domestic skills and living habits. When a child encounters difficulties: "Believe in yourself! When the child does better: "Child, your cooking is so delicious!" "It's nice to have a son (daughter)!" When children have innovative achievements: parents can take a photo, publish it through WeChat, Douyin and other forms, write words of appreciation, and encourage children. In short, parents' evaluations focused on: a word of encouragement, suggestions for home economics improvement, inspiration for home economics methods, more challenges, and so on. In the motivation, enhance children's confidence in doing home economics and enhance their interest in doing home economics.
