Recently, SAIC Motor released the data on the wholesale and new vehicle deliveries of each sub-brand in January 2022. Among them, the group's wholesale sales of vehicles in January were 456,000 units, an increase of 13% year-on-year. A total of 518,000 new vehicles were delivered by the terminal brands. In terms of growth rate, SAIC Passenger Vehicles increased by 18% year-on-year, SAIC Maxus increased by more than 44% year-on-year, and the year-on-year growth rate of the joint venture brand SAIC Volkswagen was the most eye-catching, reaching 51.7%.
In the field of traditional fuel vehicles, SAIC Motor's wholesale volume of passenger cars in January was 68,000 units, an increase of 18% year-on-year. More than 88,000 new vehicles were delivered at the terminal. Among them, roewe RX5, Roewe i5, MG ZS and MG5 four models have sold more than 10,000. SAIC Maxus sold 18,000 units, an increase of 44.3% year-on-year. In the field of new energy vehicles, sachine motor brands sold more than 72,000 models in January, an increase of 25.5% year-on-year. Among them, SAIC Passenger Vehicle Company sold 15,000 new energy vehicles, SAIC Volkswagen sold nearly 9,000 new energy vehicles, and SAIC-GM new energy vehicles sold more than 4,000 vehicles.
In addition, SAIC Motor's overall sales in overseas markets in January this year exceeded 65,000 units, an increase of 74.4% year-on-year, of which sales in Europe and Australia accounted for 40%.
