During last year's Guangzhou Auto Show, the SAIC Maxus brand released a pure electric MPV model positioned for high-end commercial use: MIFA 9, which will also be officially delivered in June this year. As a brand that has been deeply involved in the commercial vehicle market for many years, it has its own unique understanding of commercial MPV. The product called MIFA 9 has aroused heated discussion among some netizens because of its price of 269,900-379,900 yuan. In fact, if you understand SAIC Maxus's product matrix, you don't think that this looks like an "electric version of the G90" pricing is outrageous.
In terms of product design, MIFA 9 adopts the design of MIFA concept car, using a semi-enclosed front face, a through-type light group, and a simple back line to give people a visual experience of technological avant-garde. On the side, the SAIC Maxus G90 is similarly designed, but there are certain differences in the shape of the wheel hub. The rear styling is exaggerated and simple, and the shape of the rear tail lights is also consistent with the concept car, of course, we can still see some similarities in this design approach on the G90.
As an MPV model, I believe many people pay more attention to its size, the car's three-dimensional data is 5270/2000/1840mm, the wheelbase is 3200mm, positioning medium and large MPV, compared with the same price model in space, there is still a certain advantage.
Entering the car, we found that it used a large LCD screen spliced together from three screens, which looked more shocking. Still, we can see that it retains some physical buttons to control the air conditioning system; I personally care more about the rear layout, which is available in four-, six- and seven-seater versions. We can see that the comfort shown in the second row is still very strong, the seat supports fully electrified adjustment, and provides a series of functions such as ventilation, heating, massage and so on. In addition, a multimedia screen is also prepared behind the front seats to achieve some audio-visual entertainment functions.
In terms of power, the MIFA 9 adopts a dual-motor layout, with a maximum power of 180 kW and a peak torque of 350 N·m. As a pure electric MPV, it uses a lithium battery from the Ningde era, with an energy density of 90kWh and a comprehensive cruising range of 520KM. There will also be a long-endurance version, and there may be a model with a 650KM endurance after delivery, which we will know after the delivery in June.
I can understand the mission of SAIC Maxus MIFA 9, knowing that saicus Chase's main model in the MPV market is currently the G50, which is a household MPV priced at about 100,000 yuan. But in fact, SAIC Maxus very much wants to show its skills in the commercial market, but in the case of brand value to win market recognition, even if there is a corresponding product, it is difficult to pave the way. The purpose of Chase MIFA 9 is to expand brand influence, if we refer to the price of G90, we will find that the price of MIFA 9 is not expensive, note that what is said here is the cost of the benchmark product, that is to say, its own premium is not very high. Even so, there are still many friends who are pessimistic about its future market performance.
For this, I take the opposite attitude, if you can make a breakthrough in marketing, I believe that for some small and medium-sized enterprises or entrepreneurs, the total performance of MIFA 9 is more than the MPV models in the same price market, but this is the product power of the more, not the influence of the transcendence, in order to open the market, both are indispensable.
