Recently, Smart officially unveiled a new generation of pure electric vehicle family naming system with "#" and numbers as the core elements. Meanwhile, the new Smart Genie #1 has recently passed a series of rigorous aerodynamic and winter extreme cold tests. This year, it will be officially listed in the Chinese market.

Located in Chongqing, the China AutoMotive Research Institute Automotive Wind Tunnel Center is one of the most advanced automotive aerodynamic testing centers in China. Here, the new smart genie #1 has passed the rigorous test of China Automobile Research Institute engineering experts, and its wind resistance coefficient is as low as 0.29.
As the core factors affecting vehicle energy efficiency, mileage, wind noise and high-speed driving stability, the importance of optimizing the wind resistance coefficient is self-evident. The new smart genie #1 is given a pure bodyline and an elegant streamlined look. In addition, concealed door handles, an efficient aerodynamic kit and an active air intake grille (AGS) as standard throughout the range further optimise the vehicle's aerodynamic performance. At the same time, the reduction of wind resistance and wind noise not only improves the energy efficiency and comfort of the vehicle, but also extends the cruising range.
At the Yakeshi Winter Test Site in Inner Mongolia, where temperatures approach minus 40 degrees, the new smart genie #1 exhibits excellent cold resistance. At low temperatures, the system preheats the battery to ensure it is in optimal operating conditions, improving charging and output efficiency. Through the smart car APP or the car engine system, the driver and occupants can preset the travel time, and the new smart genie #1 can intelligently activate the battery heating accordingly. In addition, the hidden door handle of the new smart genie #1 is equipped with an ice-breaking function that pops up normally even when covered with thin ice.
In a test simulating winter urban road conditions in a cold region, the new Smart Genie #1 demonstrated superior driving smoothness, handling stability, acceleration and braking performance on snow and ice roads thanks to its Body Electronic Stability (ESP) system and powerful all-electric drive system.
