Live broadcast on May 23 Bologna officially announced that Motta has decided to leave at the end of the season. Fabrizio Romano then confirmed with his trademark Here We Go that the 41-year-old Motta will be Juve's new manager.

Fabrizio Romano posted

Motta will be the manager of Juventus, the deal has been completed and will be announced soon - here we go confirmed!

Motta has informed Bologna of his decision to leave the post and that he will sign a contract with Juventus until 2027.

The 41-year-old has been in charge of Bologna this season and currently sits third in the league.

During his career, Motta played for Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Genoa, Inter Milan and Paris. After retiring from the game in Paris in 2018, he began coaching Paris Under-19s.

Motta took over Genoa for the first time in October 2019 but won just two of his 10 games in charge before being sacked. In the 21/22 season, Motta became the manager of Spezia, leading the team to 16th place in Serie A that season and successfully relegated.

In September 2022, Motta took over Bologna midway through the game and led the team to 9th place in Serie A last season, and this season they are in 3rd place with one round of games remaining, and have already secured a Champions League place next season. As of now, Motta has a record of 35 wins, 23 draws and 17 losses in Bologna.
