Hegang girl Liu Jiayu, China's first winter Olympic silver medal in the snowboard U-shaped field, has almost retired due to three major injuries!

Born in Heilongjiang Province in 1992, Liu Jiayu has participated in four Winter Olympics. As one of the earliest snowboarders in China, Liu Jiayu won the silver medal in the women's U-shaped track skills competition of snowboarding at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, achieving a breakthrough for Chinese athletes in the event, and can be called the first person to snowboard.

Injuries and sports have always been with each other. Engaged in snowboarding for nearly 20 years, injuries are common for Liu Jiayu, who has undergone three major life-threatening surgeries.

In 2010, after the Vancouver Winter Olympics, she underwent her first surgery in her life. In 2009, Liu Jiayu fell during training, the most serious part of which was the fracture of the left shoulder joint ligament, resulting in dislocation as soon as he made a slightly larger movement. Considering that the Vancouver Winter Olympics are imminent, the team adopts conservative treatment. That year's Winter Olympics was her first Olympic Games, and during the competition, Liu Jiayu's movements were very reluctant and won the fourth place.

After returning from the Winter Olympics, she underwent surgery at the Third Hospital of Beijing Medical College, a top hospital in China's sports medicine. The effect of the operation is good, but the injury is three points and seven points, and the postoperative rehabilitation treatment is a shortcoming of domestic sports medicine - her postoperative rehabilitation treatment is not successful.

In 2011, Liu Jiayu was pushed onto the operating table again due to a recurrence of a left shoulder injury. The second operation was also performed at the Third Hospital of Beijing Medical College. After the operation, the attending doctor said to her: "If you can't fully recover this time, you can't engage in any sports, let alone continue your career as a professional athlete." Following the doctor's advice, 19-year-old Liu Jiayu found the world's best rehabilitator to recover in order to realize the dream of Olympic medals.

The rehabilitator is named Eddie, and he has treated NBA stars Kobe Bryant, Yao Ming and Liu Xiang. This time the recovery was relatively long, and for more than a year, she did not carry out systematic skateboarding training. It wasn't until 2013 that she started formal training.

2014 was the Sochi Winter Olympics. During pre-match training, she landed on her right shoulder and injured herself, previously her left shoulder. The situation at the 2010 Olympics is reincarnated again. For the Olympics, Liu Jiayu once again took conservative treatment. At the Olympics, she only finished ninth due to a mistake.

Even with injuries and illnesses, Liu Jiayu has more consideration for his future: will it continue or end? If you continue your sports career, you must undergo surgery again, and if you choose to end your sports career and retire, this operation can not be done.

She talked to herself and asked herself: What do you really want to do? Do you still love veneer?

Another Liu Jiayu replied to her: I still love snowboarding, I still want to continue to slide.

She convinced herself: since she loves it, she will insist on it and insist on fulfilling her Olympic dream.

The third time, she was pushed onto the operating table. #Ice 2022# #冰雪最前线 #
