After coming to Suzhou for a few months, I deeply realized that the overall operation level of supermarket stores here is weak, but 80% to 90% of the stores have a strong viability. This is what I think has several natural advantages that have created such an industry status quo, of course, this can also be the reason for the impact on its overall operating level!
First, it is an influx of people, like Kunshan, China's largest county economy with almost half of the floating population. Therefore, the occupancy rate of basically each community will not be too low, and every floor of each community is lit up at night!
Second, the abundance of goods: within 1 hour: Jiaxing fruit market - radiation throughout East China; the national net red rest food wholesale market: Wuxi Jinqiao; adjacent to the magic capital of Shanghai; vegetable freshness and quality, price have a strong advantage.
Third, supplier selection and service superiority: especially for the fresh professionalism of the category, the operation level requirements are more stringent professional associates, and these affiliates are not lacking tens of millions, hundreds of millions of volumes.
4. Suzhou will be named one of the happiest cities in China in 2021! The working and living environment here is unique!
However, the entire local private enterprises in Jiangsu Province are only Jimailon (annual sales of about 5 billion), and most of them are concentrated in the Jiangyin area; hypermarkets are basically monopolized by foreign markets: such as Aeon, RT-Mart, market openers, etc.! 5 or 6 years ago, Kunshan produced a community set supermarket chain, the peak has more than 100 community stores, if you can seriously operate, I believe it will be a promising future; but due to high-level strategic mistakes, resulting in the disintegration of the group, although it has been using the community set this brand, but now basically independent!
Fresh community stores can still do a good job, but now the integration of resources: talent, channels, commodity supply chain will be a problem. Of course, who can break and stand back, I believe that the road behind will be a bright and smooth road!
