Recently, some overseas media exposed a road test spy photo of a new Model of Mercedes-Benz, and what is surprising is that this new model is a bit of a "four unlike" feeling, which has aroused widespread concern among netizens.
Judging from the exposed pictures, this new model uses an old Mercedes-Benz C-class shell, but the ground clearance is higher than that of ordinary SUVs, and the visual inspection is similar to that of Mercedes-Benz G-Class off-road vehicles.

Obviously, the identity of this new model is currently a mystery, some netizens pointed out that it is not surprising that the test car is still in the early shell chassis test stage (also known in the industry: mule car stage), the shell does not have reference value.
However, the media gave two different speculations, namely a new SUV that Mercedes-Benz is about to launch or a high-chassis sedan based on the new MMA platform, which Mercedes-Benz defines as a new type of Sport Utility limousine, that is, SUL.
Among them, the new SUV is very simple, it is based on its much higher ground clearance than the sedan, foreign media said that this test car is a new SUV model positioned between the GLB and the GLA in the future, and more people refer to its convex wheel eyebrows, giving this a small size G-class inference.
However, this conjecture is not in line with Mercedes-Benz's development plan, and the second one is obviously more convincing.
At the investor conference in October 2020, Mercedes-Benz officially revealed that a platform for small-size pure electric vehicles is also under development, it is the MMA architecture, and this test car will also be the first model mercedes SUL (Sport Utility limousine) born on the MMA architecture, which will debut in 2024.
According to mercedes-benz official planning, at least five models will be born on the platform, including two SUVs, a sedan and a SUL, the latter of which will be the first model to be born from the MMA architecture.
For reference, during the 2018 Beijing Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz previewed the design trend of the Maybach brand, and also released a rendering of a high-chassis sedan, perhaps it is the one who was photographed this time.
If Mercedes-Benz's high-chassis sedan becomes, will The Dongfeng Citroen, which first launched the C3L, cry? (Fast Technology)
