1. Requirements for the use of fuel

(1) Fuel index requirements

Diesel requires rapid combustion, easy engine starting, smooth work, and high economy; conversely, it burns slowly, works poorly and emits black smoke from exhaust, consumes a lot of fuel, and has poor ignition performance. General diesel quality is evaluated by the chemical component 16 alkyl number contained in diesel, and the level of 16 alkane number directly affects the quality of ignition performance. The diesel 16 alkane number used in high-speed diesel engines is generally 45-55%, such as too high and too low is not appropriate. If the 16 alkane number exceeds a certain limit, the improvement of the ignition performance is not obvious, and the fuel consumption will increase proportionally, because the 16 alkane number is too high will lead to the acceleration of diesel cracking, and the carbon precipitated in combustion has not yet fully combined with oxygen, that is, discharged with the exhaust gas.

(2) There must be appropriate viscosity. Viscosity directly affects the fluidity of diesel and the situation of mixing and atomization, such as excessive viscosity, large fog points, will form poor atomization; conversely, too small viscosity, will produce oil leakage to reduce oil pressure, uneven distribution, resulting in poor mixing. Poor combustion can also lead to a greatly reduced lubrication effect on parts such as fuel injection pumps.

(3) The freezing point should not be too high. The freezing point is the temperature at which the fuel stops flowing, generally around -10 ° C. Therefore, diesel with the same viscosity should be selected according to the season.

Imported diesel generator sets require the use of international and domestic high-quality 0# diesel, which is suitable for use in Xinjiang from April to September, and -20 or -35 diesel in winter.

(4) Precautions for the use of diesel

Diesel must be sufficiently precipitated for not less than 48 hours before being added to the tank), and then filtered with a filter and a fine cloth to remove impurities.

2. Requirements for the use of engine oil

(1) The oil reduces the frictional resistance in the engine, prevents the unit from corroding and abrasion, and takes away the harmful impurities in the machine.

(2) Lubrication oil is made of base oil + additives.

(3) When the index is 100, the temperature is 40 ° C, the viscosity is 100, the temperature is 100 ° C, and the viscosity is 20. The higher the index, the smaller the viscosity and temperature effect; the lower the index, the greater the viscosity affected by temperature. The oil should have an appropriate viscosity, viscosity is an important indicator of the nature of the oil and the basis for the use of performance, such as viscosity is too small, in the case of friction parts under pressure, the oil will be pressed out from the friction surface, forming dry friction or semi-dry friction; if the viscosity is too large, the fluidity is poor, it is difficult to enter the gap of the friction surface, and it will also increase the friction, affect the power of the internal combustion engine, and make it difficult to start the internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine works at high temperatures, and the smaller the change in oil viscosity, the better.

(4) The oil should not contain acid and alkaline substances that have a corrosive effect on the metal, which will cause the metal surface to rust.

(5), the oil should not be easy to burn, when the oil enters the combustion chamber, the smaller the viscosity after combustion, the better.

Imported diesel generator sets require the use of Mobil and Shell 15W-40CF imported engine oil.

The quality of the coolant has a great influence on the cooling efficiency and longevity of the cooling system. Using the correct coolant keeps the cooling system in good technical condition and prevents the cooling system from cracking or corroding. Mobil antifreeze or non-corrosive antifreeze is recommended.

3. Engine maintenance procedures

◆ The following maintenance and repair procedure schedule is suitable for commonly used or standby running generator sets.

◆ The relevant maintenance and repair procedures are calculated according to the operating time or month of the unit, and the first expiration shall prevail.

◆ For the first 50 operating hours, all belts must be fully inspected or adjusted. The lubricating oil and lube oil filter need to be replaced.
