Why do we all live to be "most of us"? Because of tens of thousands of years of natural selection, we have the characteristics of preserving energy, having fun in time, liking short-term gratification, and hating "delayed gratification". So we always like simple, fast, easy, comfortable, hate complex, long-term, difficult. This is the norm of human nature. What we have to do is to see the truth, always add some challenges and uncertainties to our lives, and constantly fight against our own humanity in order to live a different life.
