Huxi Village, Mianhu Town, Jiexi County, was formerly under the jurisdiction of Puning County Dam Commune (now Puning Dam Town).

Huxi is a famous old revolutionary area, and the Fangzu Ancestral Hall in Huxi Village is the first batch of county-level cultural relics protection units and is the former site of the Soviet Revolution in Huxi District.

In 1925, under the influence of the Hailufeng Peasant Movement led by Peng Pan, a group of progressive young people in Huxi Village joined the district farmers' association, and in January of the following year, the Huxi Farmers' Association was established in the Fangzu Ancestral Hall of Huxi Village.

Later, Huxi Village was encircled and suppressed by the Kuomintang reactionaries three times, and the story of the Peasant Movement in Huxi can be sung and wept!
