Le Ting's past: I recall going to the commune in 1963 to run electricity

In the early winter of 1963, the Electric Power Institute (the predecessor of the current electric power company) sent 12 of our staff members to the commune of Huili to erect high-voltage lines for the oil plant, to erect low-voltage lines and install indoor lighting equipment for various units and households on the street. At that time, the rural masses called it "electricity operation".

Effort

The next day at the meeting, we began to measure the high-voltage line. The line starts from the south of Nantuo Village on the south bank of the Erluan River and ends at the Huili Oil Plant, with a total length of about 5,000 meters. After the survey, the commune sent 15 members to dig the pole pit. They are enthusiastic and energetic, and they all say that running electricity is a great thing for the benefit of the people, we should work harder, speed up the progress, and strive to send electricity as soon as possible, and more than 50 base pole pits will be completed in one day. And the length, width, slope, depth are exactly what is required.

At the same time, we started assembling the poles (all wooden poles were used at that time). According to the regulations, the length of the pole should be more than 10 meters in the general area, and the diameter of the pole should not be less than 200 centimeters. Most of the wooden poles prepared by the oil mill are six or seven meters long, and they must be tied to piles (connecting) to be long enough. The most difficult thing to do is that the line has to cross the Erluan River in the north of Nantuozhuang. The river is about 250 meters wide and is often driven by boats. Therefore, the cross-river pole regulations require that the south bank needs to be more than 15 meters, the north bank is more than 12 meters (the river is deep in the south and shallow in the north), and in order to ensure safety, it is also necessary to erect a row pole (two poles standing side by side). In this way, the 15-meter pole needs to be tied to the pile by 3 sections. However, the regulations do not allow this, because the weight on the pole is easy to break the pole and the danger occurs. We told the oil mill and the commune about the situation and needed to solve the four 9-meter-long cross-river poles as soon as possible. Secretary Ning Fengyi of the commune attached great importance to this matter, saying that it was too late to go to other places to buy, so he personally went to the brigades to mobilize cadres and the masses to contribute to solving the problem.

In the afternoon of the same day, two seventy- and eighty-year-old men (brothers and sisters) came from the Horse Temple Brigade, saying that they had 4 toon trees that had been sawn off last year, more than 3 inches long and one foot wide, which they had left as coffin boards after a hundred years, and if they could use electricity, they could contribute to solve the urgent need. After we went to check, the toon wood was hard, smooth and straight, the length and diameter were suitable, and the two joints were completely in line with the requirements. The problem was solved, and the director of the oil plant, Shi Shouen, was very happy and thanked the old people one after another.

After the poles are ready, they are immediately transported to the edges of each pit. Then from the south to the north, while assembling the cross-bearing and porcelain bottles, while standing on the pole, all the way smoothly and the progress is very fast. However, when we reached the south bank of the Erluan River, because of its high and heavy weight, we did not have enough manpower, and we were afraid of danger in the middle, so we had to pause. When they were in trouble, the members of the Nantuo Brigade who were working in the fields not far away saw the situation and quickly ran over to twenty or thirty people to take the initiative to help, because of the large number of people, it did not take half an hour to set up the row of poles. When we thanked the members, they said that it is a good thing to run electricity and that it is necessary to help.

After the poles were erected, early the next morning we began to build the line from south to north. Roughly 1000 meters as required, a tensile section (about 10 base rods, complete the overhead line within this range). When it is mounted to the Erluan River, because the distance between the north and south banks is 270 meters, the blocking distance is too long, and it crosses the river, it is necessary to tolerate tension in this section. Other sections use 352 aluminum wire, but in this section continue to use due to insufficient mechanical strength, easy to break the line accident, so switch to 502 steel core aluminum wire. The front section of the line is pulled forward by two cows, but the Erluan River has been flooded in the previous year, and the river is more than 3 meters deep, and the cattle are powerless. At this time, the oil mill hired a ferry boat, and the man and the cattle could board the boat at the same time to cross the river and bring the line to the other side. But when there were still eighty or ninety meters away from the north shore, the ship could not stop. The boatman said that the water was shallow further north, and the ship was afraid of running aground. We drove the cattle into the water to pull, but the two cows mooed and screamed on the boat, jumping and jumping, and they did not want to go into the water. No way, take them back to the south shore, and then take a detour to the north shore. In the end, all the construction personnel had to go down the river to pull together. Because the line was heavy and the water was cold, and the distance was so far, people froze and shivered, and it took a lot of effort to pull the line to the north shore.

At this time, it is noon, people are tired, hungry, and thirsty, but they can't go back to eat, only afraid of delaying time, the afternoon line frame is not finished, and the bare aluminum line is easy to corrode and oxidize in the river for a long time, reducing the service life. At the same time, it is also prevented from being sniped by someone to affect the construction. So after hanging the line on the south bank rail, the line was tightened on the north bank row pole. Because the gearing distance is too long, the steel core aluminum wire is too heavy, the man and the cow pull and pull together, tighten several times, the arc weight (the distance from the water surface of the lowest point after the aluminum wire is tightened) is still too low to meet the requirements of the regulations. At this time, I saw that the members of the Village of Heituo who were working in the fields in the afternoon were not far from here, so I asked them to come and help. After adding more than a dozen people, it didn't take 20 minutes to set up the line as required. Employees Fan Kuijun and Zhou Zhenkuin, who had been working on the pole, were hungry and tired, overtired, dizzy when they came to the ground, numb in their legs, and walked straight and shaky. It took a while to recover.

Eliminate disputes

After the completion of the high-voltage line erection, the oil plant will produce and lighting all electricity. In order to discuss the next step of how to install the lighting lines of each unit and the people on the street, the secretary of the commune Ning summoned the heads of each unit to discuss (let me also participate). I didn't think that the meeting was halfway through, and the various units caused disputes over the order of installation time. The reason is that they saw that after the high-voltage line was completed, only 5 of us (I was responsible) were left, which obviously could not be completed in a short period of time. Therefore, all units are very anxious, worried that they will not be able to use electricity before the Spring Festival. Liu Xingyuan, director of the supply and marketing cooperative, first said: "Our unit has many personnel, many goods, and large sales, and it is too inconvenient for employees to close accounts and order goods to use oil lamps at night, and we should first install them for our unit." As soon as the words fell, the director of the grain station Ma Fangbo disagreed: "That is not the middle, we have a lot of grain station personnel, a lot of grain should be dried during the day, can we carry a lantern into the warehouse at night, or can we install it for our unit first..." Before the words were finished, Yang Yongxiang, director of the health center, argued on the basis of reason: "You all emphasize your respective reasons, don't we in need of electricity in the health center You come and go every night to see the sick, can the doctors touch the dark children to see the disease and give injections? You say, is it important for goods and grain or important for people" He was talking endlessly, but Director Liu and Station Chief Ma did not buy his account, saying that he was "lying about military information" because he had rarely seen anyone come to see a doctor at night, and Director Yang of course did not want to show weakness, and immediately retorted: "What you said about closing accounts at night, ordering goods, and grain storage is also a 'bluff,' which is not in line with reality." Because these things can be done before work, why do they have to do it at night" These three are evenly matched, do not give in to each other, and for a while it has become a situation of "three feet standing", while Zhai Fengshan, director of the middle school, and Liu Jingfu, the principal of the primary school, have not said a word and have always remained silent. Because they know that their unit is Wu Dalang'er selling cotton - people are soft. A Qing Shui Yamen who had no power, no power, and no one needed it, was powerless to argue with it, so he had to sit on the side and obey the orders of others. When Secretary Ning saw this impasse and did not express his position, he wanted to hear my opinion: "The family (because we are both surnamed Ning), what do you think?" Since the secretary asked each other, I frankly and bluntly said: "The three leaders have said a lot, and all units are eager to use electricity, which is the common wish of everyone." Only Director Zhai of the middle school and Principal Liu of the primary school did not make a sound, but I thought that the middle school should be installed first. The reason is that the middle school has the largest number of people, students have to study in the evening, teachers have to prepare lessons, correct homework, and work until late. The use of kerosene lamps is dark and dark, too inconvenient, and will also affect vision. That's why they most need to use electric lights as early as possible. After I finished speaking, I saw that the three of them seemed to be reluctant, so I continued: "There is another main reason that everyone does not know, the power installation regulations stipulate that after the transformer is transmitted, the installation order of other users should be far and then close." According to this, the secondary school should also be installed first. But rest assured, we will find a way to make all users able to use electricity before the Spring Festival. When everyone heard it, they had a bottom in their hearts and a happy smile on their faces. Secretary Ning finally made a decision on the spot: "First install the middle school, and then install other units and households." All units should make concerted efforts to support and strive to send electricity at an early date. ”

Not special

In order to speed up the installation of the middle school, we get up early every day and never miss work. Five people were divided into two groups, 3 people installed indoors, and two people led the students to set up a low-voltage line from middle school to transformer. The students are extremely enthusiastic about labor, insisting on self-reliance in everything, digging pits, assembling, erecting poles, and erecting lines. They grab dirty work, they do tiring work, everyone struggles, and everyone takes the lead. A student cadre surnamed Bai cut a bloody cut in his arm when he erected the pole, and everyone advised him to go back to the school to rest, but she never refused and persisted until it was completed. In order to facilitate the construction and speed up the progress, the school let the young teacher Gonghe cooperate with us, and he went to do it in time for what was missing, and never made a mistake. And with everyone to set up the line, install the lighting line in the ceiling. Those who get dirty don't care, they always fight alongside us. Thanks to the strong cooperation and support of the school, not only the cost is saved, but also the construction period is shortened.

The school leaders saw that we were working hard and tired, and always wanted to improve our food. However, the school's economic conditions are limited, there is no money to buy fish and meat, the canteen Master Liu made a circle of steamed buns for us in the cage drawer, and fried two plates of potato chips and sauerkraut powder with sea rice. Although this is not a good meal, the teachers at the table are eating brown rice noodles, dried potato nests, boiled cabbage and radish soup with clear soup and water. We saw that in our eyes, the mood was very uncomfortable, so we suggested to the school leaders: In the future, we should not compare our lives with other units and rural brigades. Like the teachers, we must not be special. Later, Secretary Zhang Shuli and Principal Chen Kekuan said that the school was not embarrassed financially, and we had a good influence among teachers and students, and we all expressed our gratitude.

At first, the three heads of the supply and marketing cooperative, the grain station, and the health center all thought that we were deliberately biased towards the middle school, and that we might have received any benefits behind our backs. Later, after they learned the real situation, they were very moved, so they bought 30 pounds of meat together and sent it to the middle school, saying that we worked hard and tired, and sent some meat to improve our lives. We saw that these three units had strong economic strength, and they were sincerely sent, and it was not easy to resign, so we accepted them. At noon, Master Liu stewed a pot of meat and fried a few dishes, and we and all the teachers and staff happily ate a conference meal. The old teacher Wang Yanling said humorously: "We are called the bed bugs of the inn - eaters (and). The electrician Qian Shusen took over the words: "Each other, each other." We call this 'borrowing flowers to offer Buddha'. The two of them said, and everyone laughed happily.

Deliver power on time

Seeing that the Waxing Moon is approaching, the Spring Festival is approaching, and the installation of the middle school is nearing the end, and the electricity can be delivered in the near future. The installation of indoor lines in various units and private households is imminent. However, due to our small number of manpower and insufficient strength, we asked the leaders of the Electric Power Institute and suggested that the electricians who had already sent electricity from the two communes in huili and Yutuo should be organized and a practical operation training (study) class would be held in the meeting. This allows for AC, improved operation, and delivered on schedule.

After the approval was obtained, the more than 20 rural electricians notified were all in place on time. In order to prevent accidents, we put forward three requirements to everyone before work: First, we must abide by the discipline of the masses and conscientiously implement the operating procedures; second, we must pay attention to personal safety and strictly prevent accidents; third, we must learn from each other, help each other, and improve the level of operation. In the end, the personnel were divided into workers: 8 people set up low-voltage lines on the street, and others installed indoor lighting equipment for various units and households. We each sent two men to follow the guidance.

Half a month later, the project was completed. On the night of the power transmission, the lights of all units and households were bright and bright, and the atmosphere of joy and joy was everywhere.

As the years passed, more than 50 years passed in a flash. Whenever our old friends who participated in the electricity service together got together, they always loved to recall this interesting past. Moreover, I have learned a true meaning from it: no matter when, where, or what happens, as long as there is the support of the masses, there is no difficulty that cannot be solved.
