When passing through the date palm grove, gunshots rang out everywhere, and although Saddam Hussein had his entourage to protect his safety, he did not have much defense because he was on his own territory.
In the face of the 19-member assassination team, Saddam Hussein was also a little overwhelmed and was quite defeated.
Fortunately, the nearby support forces were not far away, and the speed of rushing over was very fast, and after a while, helicopters hovered overhead, and the troops on the ground also came.
At this point, the assassination attempt was also considered a failure, and Saddam managed to escape and left the village of Dujail.
Afterwards, in order to buy people's hearts and establish his already modest prestige, Saddam "generously" said that he would not pursue too many investigations.
Despite Saddam's "promises," the villagers of Dujail village are still in danger and are constantly in fear every day, not knowing which will come first with the sound of gunfire or tomorrow.
The day did not wait long, and when the villagers of Dujail village saw the helicopter hovering over the village again, they knew that "revenge" was coming.
Instead of dying in vain, it is better to fight vigorously, hundreds of male villagers fought hard, but in the face of advanced weapons, they were also used as mantis arms, and in the end they were executed.
The other villagers were exiled and 19 members of the death squad were arrested, and the ordeal they faced was bound to be not easy.
And this incident also became an important event in Saddam's conviction.
In 2003, several countries, led by the United States, invaded Iraq, and in 2004 Saddam Hussein was arrested and a special tribunal was established.
In order to demonstrate fairness and justice, the US side sought out the Kurdish Amin.
But Amin was too humble and polite, and affectionately called him "president" and "sir" when facing Saddam.
However, both the US and the Kurds are eager for Saddam to be sentenced immediately, and Amin's modest and polite attitude is naturally not what they want to see.

Rahman's family died at the hands of Saddam, and the hatred between Rahman and Saddam made Rahman eager to convict Saddam immediately.
In court, Rahman was not as polite as Justice Amin and hardly gave Saddam Hussein a chance to defend himself.
Although Saddam Hussein committed many crimes, it is not easy to obtain evidence for crimes such as war crimes and crimes against humanity. Therefore, Saddam Hussein started his trial with the "Dujail village" as the starting point.
It took less than a year for Rahman to convict Saddam Hussein and send him to the gallows.
The verdict was handed down in November 2006, but the date of execution was set at December 30, 2006, which is the Islamic day of Eid al-Adha.
After Saddam's death, the judge who executed him, Rahman, became the focus of public attention, and Saddam's followers were bound to kill him and avenge Saddam.
Faced with death threats, Rahman approached the United States, thinking that the United States would provide him with assistance, but apparently, Rahman overestimated the humanity of the United States, Saddam Hussein is dead, and what does Rahman's future have to do with them?
Without the protection of the United States, Rahman can be said to live in fear every day, and dare not easily reveal his whereabouts.
Therefore, Rahman's final outcome is also confusing, and it is said that Rahman hid in the United Kingdom, because the Times reported that Rahman also sent asylum requests to the United Kingdom.
But what is widely understood was that Rahman was killed in a militant attack in 2014.
