In 1951, the Volunteer Air Force sent 6 fighters to intercept the US Air Force's bombing of the railway, but unexpectedly, just halfway through the flight, 60 US fighters suddenly appeared.

The captain of the volunteer air force brigade is called Wang Hai, who was born in Yantai since he was a child, likes to look at the British planes out of his mind, and silently sets the volunteer to soar the blue sky in his heart.

In 1944, wang Hai, who had just turned 18, joined the Jiaodong Anti-Japanese Squadron, and from a poor background, he performed well in the team and joined the Communist Party of China the following year.

When he was 20 years old, he was assigned to the old aviation school in northeast China, and Wang Hai was ecstatic, feeling that he was about to fly into the blue sky, but the next thing made him suffer some blows.

Wang Hai did not expect to be assigned to the mechanical class and became an aircraft maintenanceman.

But Wang Hai has always had a blue sky dream in his heart, so he strengthened his business training and gave himself additional physical training after class.

After more than 3 years of various trainings, due to Wang Hai's excellent achievements and good physical fitness, he finally became a pilot as he wished.

At this moment, the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea broke out, and for the sake of justice and peace, the volunteers carried backward weapons and equipment and resolutely set foot in a foreign country.

The equipment is backward, but our volunteer army has a tenacious will, and our commanders still have rich combat experience.

However, the US military was the hegemon of the air at that time, and when the war first broke out, we did not even have an air force, and the Soviet fighters were waiting and watching, vowing not to die in the Yalu River, so at the beginning we suffered a lot of losses.

The state led the emergency formation of the Chinese Volunteer Air Force, and Wang Hai also became the captain of the 1st Brigade of the 9th Regiment of the 3rd Division of the Chinese Air Force with excellent ability.

After a short period of emergency training, the group of volunteer pilots, whose average flight time was less than 100 hours, came to the Korean battlefield.

The aircraft of the US army are 7 times that of the volunteer army, the average flight time is 10 times that of the volunteer army, and there is a wealth of actual combat experience, while the combat experience of our pilots is almost zero!

Before the expedition, Wang Hai, as a representative, solemnly made a vow: We will fight heroically and not be afraid of sacrifice, we have the heroism to overwhelm the enemy, and we will not be overwhelmed by the enemy, and the victory in the air battle must belong to us!

To dare to make such a vow is not arrogant; although they have flown for a short time, they have all been trained land, and the anger in their chests against the invaders is about to erupt.

At two o'clock in the afternoon of November 18, 1951, the U.S. military dispatched 184 aircraft to bomb the railways, causing serious damage to the volunteer transportation lines.

However, the volunteers could only hide and could not return fire, otherwise the position of the position would be exposed, which would lead to large-scale bombing, and the volunteers would all hold their breath in their hearts.

At 2:40, Deputy Commander Lin Hu of the 9th Regiment of the 3rd Division of the Volunteer Air Force led 16 fighters to block the enemy, including 6 fighters of the Wang Hai Brigade.

16 planes came to the skies over the Suchuan area, Lin Hu suddenly found 20 US fighters, Lin Hu resolutely led the fighters to dive down from an altitude of 8,000 meters, suddenly disrupting the enemy's formation, and everyone began to fight according to tactics.

At this moment, Wang Hai suddenly found that 60 US fighter planes were flying at a low altitude in the left front, and Wang Hai decisively called the planes of his brigade and followed him to block the enemy.

Six planes rushed from an altitude of 6,000 meters to 60 enemy planes at 1,500 meters, and the enemy was caught off guard and was immediately disrupted.

However, the U.S. military was very experienced in actual combat, and after a short period of panic, they immediately adopted new tactics.

The U.S. military flew in a group of 8 fighters in a large circle connected end to end, which had the advantage of being that if one of the aircraft was shot down, the aircraft behind it could immediately return fire.

Wang Haiguan's tactic is called the "Luo Circle Array", and in the face of this kind of formation, Wang Hai quickly thinks about how to deal with it.

More than 3 years of maintenance experience, so that Wang Hai is familiar with the performance of various aircraft, the volunteer fighters were Soviet, flexible than the US fighters.

Taking advantage of this feature, Wang Hai pulled the fighter plane up into the air, and then swooped down like an arrow to the center of the "Luo Circle Array", so that it was as if it hit the seven inches of a snake, and after repeated dives, he directly cracked the US army's formation.

Taking advantage of the enemy's panic, Wang Hai opened fire decisively, and a plane shot down in black smoke.

At this time, a US fighter circled behind Wang Hai and wanted to sneak attack, and at this moment, Jiao Jingwen, the wingman pilot responsible for protecting the long plane, decisively opened fire and shot down the US fighter.

After 5 minutes, the ammunition was about to run out, and Wang Hai decisively led the team to withdraw from the battle.

In this battle, Wang Hai's brigade shot down 5 enemy planes with 0 casualties, of which Wang Hai himself shot down 2 enemy planes.

Throughout the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, Wang Hai's brigade participated in more than 80 battles and shot down 29 enemy planes, and each member of the team was engraved with a red star on his plane.

Because of the heroic performance of the Wang Hai Brigade, he was awarded the collective first class merit and the title of "Hero's Wang Hai Brigade".

Today, the aircraft exhibition of the hero Wang Hai is in the hall of the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution, which is gloriously engraved with 9 red stars, telling people the story of Wang Hai's annihilation of 9 enemy planes.

In July 1984, as deputy commander of the Air Force, Wang Hai accompanied Zhang Aiping, then defense minister, on a visit to the United States, and at the reception, when Zhang Aiping introduced the identity of Comrade Wang Hai to senior US officials, General Gabriel, chief of staff of the US Air Force, was very excited, shook Wang Hai's hand, and said: It turns out that you are the Wang Hai who beat us down!

Wang Hai responded with a smile: "If you come again, I will beat you down!"

The selfless and fearless spirit of the volunteer air force pilots, the heroic and tenacious fighting style, and the flexible and mobile strategy and tactics of the volunteer air force pilots are always worth inheriting, studying, and carrying forward.
