Biography of a calligrapher
Wei Zhendong, male, born in 1958, works for Guangxi Construction Engineering Group No. 2 Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. (retired), is currently the deputy director of the Calligraphy and Painting Art Committee of the China Popular Culture Society, a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a national senior calligrapher, a standing director and member of the Calligraphy Art Research Association of the China Yuelian Society, a member of the Guangxi Calligraphers Association, and a special envoy for Chinese and Singapore culture.
When I was young, I saw that my father often wrote with a brush, and the font was beautiful and healthy, and his heart was longing. Influenced by his father, he fell in love with calligraphy from an early age, and began to practice calligraphy with books in elementary school, plus his father's responsibility to supervise the twilight, he grew slightly, and knew that calligraphy is one of the essences of Chinese national culture, and it is even more dedicated! After entering the social work, he began to copy the works of the Second King and Lan Tingxu, and also dabbled in the historical and contemporary masters outside the Two Kings, for more than forty years, He did not quit in Linchi, absorbed the strengths of all the families, and also received careful guidance from celebrities in the calligraphy industry, calligraphy has made great progress by leaps and bounds, forming his own style of strong pen strength, vigorous and powerful, magnificent atmosphere, combination of thickness and thinness, and flowing wine. My calligraphy works are deeply loved by the people. At present, he is employed by the Calligraphy and Painting Art Professional Committee of the Chinese Popular Culture Society, a second-level institution of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as the deputy director of the Association.
In 2019 and 2021, China Post will select some of my works for the second time as stamps to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China for production, publication, issuance and collection, and allow the publication of stamps and philatelic products known as "national business cards". In 2019, the works of "Linjiang Immortal Words", "Long March" and "Ma to Success" were selected to be sent to Singapore to participate in the exhibition of the works of famous artists of Chinese, New and Ma calligraphy and painting in the Sixth Session, and awarded the honor of Special Envoy of Chinese and New Culture; "China's Take-off", "Building Dreams with One Heart" and "Long March" were also selected to be exhibited at the Beijing National Culture Center in October 2019. On July 1, 2020, the Guangxi Museum of Nationalities collected seven calligraphy works such as "Chinese Doctors", a witness to the fight against the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic in 2020, as a permanent collection. In 2020, Wei Zhendong, the most noteworthy artist in the art world and the key recommended artist of the "Voice of the Two Sessions", was published on hundreds of well-known websites in China. The 2020 (Southeast Asia) "World Cultural and Artistic Figures" calligraphy and painting investment and collection book and periodical published by Singapore Hongyun Media collects four works of mao zedong poems "Qingping Le Liupanshan", "Pengcheng Wanli", "Zhiyi Shenqing" and "Dragon Tenghu Leap". The famous calligrapher Wei Zhendong presented the first centenary of the party, and in 2020 was reported by hundreds of well-known websites in China as the image ambassador of Chinese calligraphy. In the first half of 2021, we are honored to publish our personal calligraphy works on 100 well-known websites in China, together with Sun Xiaoyun, the current chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, Mr. Shen Peng, a famous Chinese calligrapher, Fan Zeng, a famous Chinese calligraphy and painting master, and Fan Di'an, chairman of the China Artists Association.
In order to carry forward the Chinese culture and carry forward the Chinese calligraphy process, I have been using calligraphy to publicize the positive energy of Chinese Confucian culture, and use calligraphy to do good deeds, use calligraphy to sell and donate, help the especially poor families in the society, and truly use calligraphy to reward the people!
