【 Bright Moon Over the Mullica River 】

In this quiet image, the mirror-like river reflects the eastern sky before sunrise. The image is taken on the banks of the Mullica River on May 22, which runs through the Pine Barrens Forest in southern New Jersey on the east coast of the United States. Near the ground plane to the left of the image, there hangs a slender crescent moon, with Mars near the center of the image and bright Venus shining on the right. Like the bright lights on the riverbank, these bright objects are reflected on the water in the foreground. Most of the lunar night surface is illuminated by the Earth's reflected light (the sunlight reflected by the Earth's daytime surface), and the characteristics of the dark night surface are clearly recognizable.
