We all know that the return of Amazon's self-fulfilling orders is a headache to deal with.

Self-shipping sellers with larger volumes can go to overseas warehouses to receive returns from buyers, and the defect is that the cost of overseas warehouses is higher.

But for the smaller self-shipping sellers who have just started, the cost of the overseas warehouse is too high to consider, and it is very troublesome to guide buyers to mail the product label back to China, and some small sellers who cannot handle the return problem can only refund directly, and the payment is lost twice.

Amazon's new PR program connects with third-party logistics providers, who provide the address of the U.S. return warehouse and process the return after receiving the buyer's return.

Moreover, Amazon also mentioned that the logistics service providers participating in the PR program have signed SLA agreements with Amazon and need to provide more competitive prices on amazon's platform than other channels.

That is, the PR program can help small sellers who cannot use overseas warehouses to process returned products at a lower cost, and its cost is also more competitive for self-shipping large sellers using overseas warehouse solutions.

The PR plans the process of processing a return order

1. Using the RP plan to process the return shipment, the product will automatically be provided with an Amazon prepaid return label, which will be picked up by FBA Logistics or Cooperative Logistics.

2. After the third-party warehouse receives the returned goods, the service provider can return them to China.

3. In addition to helping sellers return goods to China, service providers can also evaluate the status of goods according to standards. Different status ratings correspond to different treatment methods, such as resale, temporary storage, repair or clearance.

The entire return process is very smooth for both sellers and consumers, and the experience is similar to using FBA logistics.

PR planning internal test path and considerations

At present, the RP plan is still in the internal testing stage, and only some sellers are open to internal testing qualifications.

The participation path is a back-office → order → manage returns → edit return settings → return plan settings.
