This lesson talks about the five Chinese characters of the "Ge" Department: ",[革爨],[革意], 鞁,鞥", as in the previous lesson, these five characters are not commonly used in modern Chinese, and even the words "[Ge 爨]" and "[Gezhi]" are no longer included in the GB character library, and are truly strange characters. The details of the five words are as follows:
1、 。 There are two pronunciations:
(a) bì. This is the pronunciation of the Zhonghua Book Company's Zhuyin edition of the Shuowen Jiezi, and the explanation given is: ", Che Shu ye." From the leather, there will be sound. "Shape sound word. The original meaning is the belt that is bound to the car. Gui Fu's "Speaking of Literary Righteousness": "The car bundle is also the one." Xu Kai's "Biography of the Shuowen Family": "Wherever the car is bound." This statement also says that the car is tied with leather. The two interpretations, one refers to the place where the tie is, and the other refers to the thing that is tied, and there is no conflict.

(ii) pèi. It is pronounced from "Collection rhymes". Same with "辔". Ride the reins of the royal cattle. "Cut Rhymes and Quality Rhymes": ", commonly used as a character. "Ji Yun Zhi Yun": "辔, Shuowen: 'Ma Yuanye.' ' or to do . ”

2. [Leather]. Read zuān. The explanation given by the Shuowen Jiezi is: "[Ge Cuan], the three bundles of the car scale, and the Qu Ren [Ge Zan] binding." Straight (jú) binding. From the leather, the sound. "Shape sound word. The original meaning is to tie the horizontal wood drilling with a belt to the curved rut of the trolley. The horizontal wood drilling holes of the trolley are bound with a belt, and the horizontal wood of the large cart is all bound with a belt. Xu Kai's "Biography of the Shuowen Family": "The ride swamp is a song, the wood is a balance, and it is tied to the top." Don't drill holes to tie up in the car, the big car double straight, the balance and the attachment are just tied, do not drill also. Wang Yun's "Reading of Sayings and Sentences": "The Case of The Reed: When the reeds and the balance are written, there will be chisels, and I am afraid that they will be freed, and they will be bound with leather." ”

3. [Revolutionary Purpose]. Read zhì. The explanation given in the Shuowen Jiezi is: "[The purpose of the revolution], the cover bar wire also." From the revolution, the will. "Shape sound word. 4. Jing. There are two pronunciations:
(i) bèi. This is the pronunciation of the Zhonghua Book Company's Phonetic Version of the Shuowen Jiezi, and the explanation given is: "Jing, the driving tool is also." From leather, leather sound. "Shape sound word. The original meaning is a collective name for saddles and other harnesses. "Jade Chapters And Gebu": "Tatsumi, saddle quilt." "Chinese Jin": "I will die two times, and I can stop it." Wei Zhao's note: "Jing, [Ge Ying] also." Wang Yuansun Fazheng: "Shuowen: 'Jing, the driving instrument is also.'" ’...... There are many people who are wrapped up in the jing, and the big one is the one who is big, so it is the name of the special [leather citation]. Wei wrote [Ge Ying] according to the "Inner Biography", and then interpreted it as [Ge Yin]. The meaning of the phrase "Chinese" is that the belly belts of the two horses in my car are about to break, but I can control it.

5. 鞥. Read ēng. The explanation given by the Shuowen Jiezi is: "辔鞥." From the sound of leather. Read it. A dragon head winder. "Shape sound word. The original meaning is the horse reins, and the other meaning is the horse's cage. The sound of "弇" is also righteous in the sound. Yi, cover also. Cover, override. The horse reins are covered by several strands of rope, and the head of the horse is covered on the horse's head. Duan Yujie's Commentary on the Interpretation of The Text: "辔鞥 gai ancient language, 辔 is also known as 鞥也. Gui Fu righteously proved: "The One who is a dragon, Guangyun: '鞥, the skin wrapped around the horns also.'" ’”
