Since February 2022, two more new energy vehicle brands have adjusted the prices of their models. So far, according to incomplete statistics, 10 new energy vehicle brand brands have announced price increases in early 2022.
On February 1, BYD announced on the official Weibo that it would increase the price of some of its new energy models, mainly involving Dynasty Network and Ocean Network, covering BYD's more popular models such as Qin, Song, Tang, Yuan and Dolphin, and the official guidance price increased by 1,000 yuan to 7,000 yuan. The price adjustment took effect on February 1, and consumers who signed up for a deposit before February 1 were not affected by the price increase.
On the same day, Feifan Automobile, a new energy brand under SAIC Motor, announced that some models of its two models, MARVEL R and ER6, were adjusted, but the overall adjustment range was not large, between 1,000 yuan and 3,000 yuan.
Since the beginning of the year, new energy vehicle companies have gathered to increase prices
In addition to the above two brands, some domestic new energy vehicle brands have completed price adjustments for their models in January.
On the last day of 2021, Tesla announced that it will increase the price of domestic Model 3 and Model Y rear-wheel drive models to 265,700 yuan and 301,800 yuan respectively, with an increase of 10,000 yuan and 21,000 yuan, respectively. Among them, the price of the Model Y entry-level model increased by more than 25,000 yuan compared with the lowest price subsidy in history, and the overall increase was nearly 10%.
FAW-Volkswagen officials said that the amount of new energy subsidies enjoyed by FAW-Volkswagen ID.CROZZ models will be reduced from 18,000 yuan to 12,600 yuan, and the price of vehicles will be raised by 5,400 yuan. However, if the user completes the purchase of the car before February 28, 2022, he can also enjoy the previous subsidy after the price.
Xiaopeng Motors officially announced that the price of some models will be adjusted from January 11, and the official price increase will range from 4300 yuan to 5900 yuan. Among them, the flagship sedan Xiaopeng P7 series rose by 4300-5900 yuan, the SUV model Xiaopeng G3i rose by 4800-5400 yuan, and the new compact car Xiaopeng P5 rose by 4800-5400 yuan.
Due to the battery rental and purchase program provided by Weilai Automobile, some models can also enjoy state subsidies after the price is reduced. According to the official news released on January 1, 2021, users who paid a deposit to purchase ES8, ES6 and EC6 models before December 31, 2021, and who pre-car on March 31, 2022, can still enjoy the 2021 national subsidy standard.
In addition, the price of NIO's first mass-produced sedan ET7 was also adjusted at the beginning of this year, and the adjusted selling price range was 436,660 yuan to 513,400 yuan.
Nezha Automobile has adjusted the price of its Nezha U Pro and Nezha V models. Among them, some models of Nezha V were raised by 2,000 yuan, and the price after the subsidy of the standard endurance industry version was 76,900 yuan, and the price of the customized version of the long endurance industry was 83,900 yuan after the subsidy. Nezha Automobile's U-part model was raised by 3,000-5,000 yuan, and the price was 135,800 yuan to 159,800 yuan after subsidies.
At the beginning of this year, WM Motor added a new configuration model called "400 i.e. passenger line" to its model E.5, which was priced at 150,100 yuan after comprehensive subsidies. The original "500" configuration of the two models raised by 10,000 yuan, the current price range of all models is 150,100 yuan -170,100 yuan after subsidies. However, this model is mainly for the B-end travel market and has little impact on the C-end car market.
The price of the zero-run T03 under zero-run automobile has been raised, and the price of the 2022 model is 68,900-84,900 yuan, while the price of the 2021 model is 59,800-99,800 yuan, and the lowest-end model in 2022 is 8,000 yuan higher than that of the 2021 model.
In addition, GAC New Energy's model, the Eian LX, increased in price by 4,000 yuan, and the new AION S Plus increased by more than 7,000 yuan compared with the 2021 model.
Subsidies have declined and raw material prices have risen to become the main reasons for price increases
The primary reason for the price increase of these new energy vehicle companies is the decline of subsidies for new energy vehicles from 2022. According to the "2022 New Energy Vehicle Promotion and Application Financial Subsidy Policy Notice", the subsidy standard for new energy vehicles will drop by 30% in 2022 and will be officially terminated on December 31 this year.
According to the regulations, pure electric vehicles with an endurance of more than 300 kilometers and a guidance price of less than 300,000 yuan can enjoy subsidies. Among them, the mileage subsidy standard for models with a range of 300km to 400km is 0.91 million (need to combine the battery energy density coefficient and energy consumption adjustment coefficient), and the mileage subsidy standard for models with a range of more than 400km is 12,600 (combined with the battery energy density coefficient and energy consumption adjustment coefficient).
In addition, the recent rise in raw material prices has also forced some car companies to increase the price of models to maintain a healthy profit situation in the automotive business.
Although in the past year, domestic new energy vehicle sales have ushered in a significant increase, and the revenue of some car companies has also risen, due to the continuous rise of upstream raw materials, coupled with the impact of "lack of core" has not completely faded, resulting in no substantial increase in net profit. The overall price increase of new energy vehicles will alleviate the pressure brought by this aspect to a certain extent.
