A number of automobile headquarters have been established
The reporter learned that Dongping Automobile City is located at the intersection of Baiyun Avenue North Dongping Road and Junhe Avenue, covering an area of about 102 acres, divided into three parts: village collective land, government reserve land, and village reserved land, with a total construction area of about 300,000 square meters. Since 2019, the government reserve land has been transferred successively, and Guangdong Hongyue Automobile Sales Group and Guangdong Yuebao Real Estate Investment Group have won the bid to build the Hongyue Group Automobile Cluster Building and Yuebao Center; the village collective land and the village reserved land have built the Guangzhou Automobile Wisdom City and Donggu Center projects as supporting surrounding industries.

"We have laid out 11 4S stores along Baiyun Avenue, and the entire automotive industry is decentralized. After the completion of the headquarters building, we plan to display cars on the first to third floors, and build multi-space, multi-dimensional, and multi-functional exhibition halls, so that new cars or used cars can get a comprehensive three-dimensional display. Hu Junhua, assistant general manager of Guangdong Hongyue Automobile Group, told reporters that under the background of the iterative upgrading of under pressure products in the global automotive industry and the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the multi-point layout of the automobile industry has not conformed to the development trend. As a veteran automobile enterprise rooted in Baiyun District for 25 years, the group is very optimistic about the Dongping Automobile City project, and is now accelerating the construction of the 19-storey automobile sales group headquarters and automobile culture exhibition center to create a whole automobile industry chain. In January this year, the Hongyue Group Automobile Cluster Building was the first to be capped, and it is planned to complete construction and put into use in August this year.
Not far from the Hongyue Group Automobile Cluster Building, the Yuebao Center, with a total construction area of about 34,000 square meters, is also speeding up construction, with plans to build a two-storey underground parking lot, a three-storey (7-meter-high) commercial podium, and a 17-storey (4.5-meter-high) high-end office building, which is scheduled to be completed in April this year.

Since entering Baiyun District in 2006, Yuebao Group has developed from the original BMW authorized 4S store to a group with 24 operating and under construction luxury car dealer outlets by 2021, with branches in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other places, with more than 2,300 employees and an annual sales of more than 20,000 luxury brand vehicles. Pan Yonghua, director of the office of Yuebao Group, introduced that according to the plan, Yuebao Center is taking the headquarters economy as the driving force to build an integrated commercial body based on automobile sales and related supporting industries.

In the past 10 years, the area around Baiyun Avenue on Yongping Street has developed rapidly, and many subway stations such as Dongping Station of Metro Line 14, Jiahe Wanggang of Line 3, Baiyun Avenue North, and Yongtai have been laid out here. Since last year, Baiyun District has carried out iron fist rectification of its 11.6-kilometer-long roads along the line, opened up traffic black spots, demolished 350,000 square meters of illegal buildings, freed up public green space for citizens, and laid the foundation for the construction of Dongping Automobile City.
Hu Junhua said that the geographical advantages of high accessibility have attracted a number of automobile companies to take root and settle here. Since 2009, he has seen the auto industry take root and prosper along Baiyun Avenue, never changing, from having to being better. The large population of Yongping Street and the prosperity of the automobile sales industry have also attracted auto repair companies to blossom here based on "close to the market and extension of the industrial chain".
